Truth is bitter. When a 17 year girl’s parents lodged a police complaint against a union minister’s son for sexual assault, not a single media house reported it. It was social media that brought out the case. When Lagacharla tribal women were attacked by police, no media reported. When University of Hyderabad Kancha Gachibowli was being razed by government bulldozers, not one media house spoke. It was social media that brought the issue to light.
