It's called intertwined engineering, if you have the cross reference part numbers a lot of same part from a Kia are used in BMW.

Market works on narratives. I forgot to mention that latest i20, Verna & Tucson is a downgrade in the design as compared to the older ones. KIA, their own sister concern has taken some share away as well.
