I have free supercharging for life on my 2016 model S, I have to admit, its pretty amazing. I also got FSD so I call it the unicorn.

But you have to go to superchargers to charge and that's far less convenient than charging at home. I wouldn't get money's worth.

It’s such a brilliant marketing perk. I’d say greater than 96% of Model S buyers have a garage and home-charge. Thus, Tesla’s true spend on the perk is minimal compared to the sizzle of the “deal.” How often is that demo driving road trips versus just flying. So Tesla gives free super charging on the once in a blue moon road trip. Bravo. 👏 Lastly, the S sells itself so this truly makes it a no brainer.

“Free” because they bumped the price $5K, so not as much of a deal as you may have originally thought. One overlooked “free” perk some 2012s got.. Unlimited Premium Connectivity, which mine still enjoys. Both estimated costs were rolled into the 2012 price.

That's great news for Model S buyers! Free supercharging is a significant benefit. Uncle Tesla makes a valid point about home charging convenience, but for long trips, this is a game changer. It's a smart move by Tesla.

I never liked the nose. I’m glad they removed it. I think this was the only design flaw Tesla ever made.

My Tesla standard Model Y has Swing Mode where the front air vents oscillate side to side so airflow distributes evenly throughout the car. The thing that many people do not know about Tesla is that they don’t wait for a “new model year” to add new features. They don’t sit around planning for a 2025 version or a 2026 version. When a feature is ready, the team just builds it into the cars right then and there. You get whatever the latest tech is the moment your Tesla rolls out of the factory. This is one of the key differences between Tesla and legacy auto.

MIT PhD student Alex Zhang reveals the scaling result where a model trained on short tasks generalizes to problems 100x longer for free: "If you're very clever about the design of your harness or how you use the language model, you can almost get scaling gains for free." "If you train a model naively, there's no tricks. It's just the same way you train a model on these RL environments. You just roll it out, and then you just get some reward." "If you train it on only short tasks, like only tasks that are 10,000 tokens long, and then you were to run it on a similar domain, but at a million tokens, or 10 million tokens, or 100,000 tokens, it generalizes really, really well. If you look at it compared to even the base transformer, you get way better generalization properties." "When the model uses an RLM (Recursive Language Model) after it's trained on these short tasks, it will see some kind of trajectory of actions that it does. Between these two problems of different lengths, the RLM learns to see them as almost the same problem." "Token for token, they're almost the same. You can describe it in code. HW4 Model 3s and Model Ys will get it first. Tesla says it is "very close" to being unlocked in customer cars. It will be available for purchase outright as a $10,100 option, or through a subscription model. Tesla hasn't released the subscription price yet.

I see plenty of interest and questions about ASMR models the past few days. No you don't need to be an ASMRist to get one. Any artist can draw it for you as long as they separate some of the important parts for movement. It's MUCH cheaper than a whole new model and very cost effective for events and fun stuff all year long. Just get a cozy pose to be able to use it with everything else and a few toggles if you wanna be fancy. Art & Rig wise, it's much cheaper. Feel free to ask anything else in the comments.
