VIDEO | Former Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) president Ronak Khatri challenged the university's decision to withhold his provisional degree. Jean Joseph, a PhD student & wife of DMK functionary M Rajan, speaking about her refusal to receive the degree from Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, said the Governor had not done anything for Tamil. She added that she believes in the Dravidian model. “I did not find any achievements of the Governor for Tamil when I searched on Google. He could have done so much. I thought why I should receive the degree from the governor who is against Tamil and Tamil Nadu. I came to know, after reading the booklet, that our Vice-Chancellor Chandrasekar has also achieved a lot. I thought he would be the right person to receive the degree from. There are no personal reasons behind the refusal. I ask our system if we do not have the right persons, like the Chief Minister and the Minister for Higher Education in Tamil Nadu, to confer the degree,” she said

It's a right-to-privacy suit. The Delhi High Court took up the matter. Platform X has already taken action against, I think, all of these tweets proactively, because of which an injunction was not required today. And the next date of hearing is September 14, when a more detailed hearing would happen on the injunction application. We hope that the right to privacy of everybody, not just me, will be protected by the High Court, as it has already protected several others, including Prime Minister Modi's degree and everything else that has been protected in the past. Brooklyn: Coney Island Avenue & Avenue M, four people were taken into custody Tuesday night following a violent robbery that left a 23-year-old man injured. According to police, the incident occurred Tuesday at approximately 3:50 p.m. near Dahill Road & 38th Street, where the victim was sitting inside a park when he was approached by multiple individuals. A verbal dispute broke out and quickly escalated into a physical attack. The suspects allegedly punched and kicked the victim before stealing his jacket, wallet, and cellphone. They then fled the scene in a white Ford pickup truck. EMS transported the victim to Maimonides Hospital with minor injuries. Officers from the NYPD 66th Precinct, along with 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐫𝐢𝐦 and Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol, obtained the vehicle’s license plate and began tracking it. The truck was later located with all four suspects still inside. NYPD officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested all four occupants, who police say were responsible for the violent robbery.
