Vivo did this years ago. The X80 Pro back in 2022 already showed how large sensors could enable heavy stabilization. This isn’t new tech.

Can already hear Apple stans shouting "why would I need this" This is going to be sick in 2-3 years on iPhone

Waiting for Apple to implement this in iPhone 19 and give it a stunning name: Dynamic Stabilization.

I’m dumb how does it do this without cropping in like crazy for all other scenarios

I’m astounded by the number of cool updates Samsung has introduced. 😰

This is for those saying that there is no improvement over the S25 Ultra

That's actually insane! No need to pay for insane gimbals anymore!

Last year it was Apple’s selfie camera, this year it’s Samsung’s stabilization. There is a lot to innovate when it comes to Cameras.

The stabilization feels unreal. It’s like the phone has a tiny gimbal working inside it. Your videos stay smooth even when you are walking or moving around. Samsung just made vlogging a whole lot easier and more professional!!!

All those MP not used around the ~33MP per frame captured are doing a hell of a job for stablization ~~~

Alright if this and privacy screen doesn’t come to iPhone in the next 5 to 10 years I’m switching to Samsung.

@Apple is nicely taking notes, putting stickies on a whiteboard, arranging these features on a timeline determining when to copy and what to rename them as. "Barrel Firming" coming up in 18 months.

This has absolutely nothing to do with sensor size lol

"When the sensor is big enough, you can do crazy things with stabilization." That's $30 billion in R&D talking. Smartphone camera sensors went from a $16B market in 2018 to $30B in 2026. Sony owns 45% of it. Here's why flagships cost $1,200: Sensor size scales non-linearly. A 3.35× bigger sensor costs 5-8× more. Plus computational photography R&D ($20M+ per phone generation). Physics advantage + software = premium pricing. 📊

Support advanced optical image stabilization (OIS) by allowing more lens movement and precise gyroscopic corrections, reducing shake
