In the video, multiple ICE agents have a man in handcuffs. While he is completely under their control, and not resisting, they smash his face into a stone wall. A U.S. citizen begins asking for the man’s name, while filming... note that he is not interfering, blocking the agents, or preventing the arrest in any way…. But that doesn’t stop the ICE agent from chases after him, while another agent threatens him with a taser. As the citizen is actively backing away, the agent continues walking toward him, and aggressively shoves him backwards. Even after the detained man is being escorted to the vehicle… and the legal observer is nowhere near the agents, or their cars… that same ICE agent continues shoving the U.S. citizen for no apparent reason. And while he is standing on the public sidewalk, another agent walks over and points a taser inches from him, and then turns around and points his taser at other innocent people, who are just standing and watching. Americans have a First Amendment right to record government officials performing their duties in public. Threatening, intimidating, or assaulting someone because they are documenting law enforcement, violates that right. And slamming a person face, who is handcuffed and not resisting, into a stone wall is excessive force. This is exactly why it’s important to always record anytime you see ICE agents. This morning, I was returning from a condolence visit here in Lagos. A townsman had sadly lost his wife to the cold hands of death. After spending a good part of the day there, I decided to drive straight to my office instead of going back home first as I had originally planned. Lagos life no dey wait for anybody—if you blink twice, hold-up will use your destiny to do rehearsal. Barely ten minutes into the journey, I was flagged down by the Nigerian police. In true Naija fashion, they used the vehicle in front of mine as human shield to stop me—as if we were filming an action movie. I was about to properly park, but the officer immediately started demanding my driver’s license right there in the middle of the expressway. I politely asked him to allow me park first so I wouldn’t cause obstruction, but oga said no. Before I could say “Officer, calm down,” traffic had already started building up like JAMB website during registration season. After plenty back and forth, he finally allowed me to park halfway along the Isheri-Idimu Expressway. I handed him my driver’s license. He checked it and returned it. Next, he asked for my vehicle license. I gave it to him. Then he requested for roadworthiness. I handed that over too. Suddenly, his mood changed like NEPA light during rainy season. He flared up and started shouting that I did not give him all the documents at once. I was confused. I simply gave him exactly what he asked for, one after the other. But apparently, in his own constitution, I was supposed to have read his mind and submitted my entire family tree. He began yelling that I was wasting his time. I asked him calmly, “Officer, how exactly am I wasting your time?” The next statement shocked me: “I will change it for you o! In fact, come and open your boot!” At that point, tempers were rising on both sides. I told him, perhaps with more confidence than wisdom, to go and open it himself. But quickly remembering that what Nigerian Police officers cannot do does not exist, I decided to come down and open it myself before my village people would be accused. He searched my boot like he was looking for the missing budget of the federation. He scattered everything. Then he entered the car, opened compartments, checked under seats—searching for what was not lost. Meanwhile, while he was performing his ministry, I was quietly recording him with my phone. When he finally realized I was videoing him, ah! Ladies and gentlemen, the atmosphere changed immediately. Heaven did not fall, but hell applied for overtime. He insulted me.He called me names.He raised his voice. But trust me, it was aura for aura, egusi for egusi, pepper for pepper, back to sender with express delivery. At the end of the day, the devil searched but found nothing on the son of man. No hidden “something for the boys.” Just an innocent man trying to survive Lagos and reach his office in peace. Eventually, I entered my car and drove off, leaving behind the drama, the dust, and one very disappointed officer whose fishing expedition returned no catch. Moral lessons: First, integrity is expensive, but it saves you from unnecessary fear. When your hands are clean, your confidence becomes your defense. Second, power without courtesy becomes oppression. Uniform should command respect, not fear. Third, wisdom matters. In Nigeria, sometimes you need the patience of Job, the boldness of David, and the prayer life of Elijah just to survive one police checkpoint. And finally, life itself is unpredictable. ⚡️⚡️Adolf Hitler And Me⚡️⚡️ ▪️”They destroyed the best chance we ever had in the world.” ▪️Growing up, I was always drawn to the swastika for some odd reason. Every time I saw it, my eyes stared at it longer than it should have, it captivated me. ▪️As a child watching World War II movies and documentaries about Hitler, I always asked my teachers, Parents & Grandparents, why did he do those “terrible things?” No one ever had an answer that went deeper than, “he was crazy, he was a psychopath, he was a maniac.” But in the videos the German people appeared to love him. ▪️As I aged I started watching the documentaries and movies that explained Hitler in a good light 💡 I listened to the Hitler speeches (that were never translated while growing up because without the words he seemed like an angry person spewing hate). But instead I heard a proud patriot wanting the best for his people-uniting the German people, traditional family values, showcasing morals and highlighting the reason why the country was in poverty for many decades. ▪️Then I read Mein Kamph (was also banned throughout the world). It is still banned in some countries. I read nothing evil in the book, in fact I agreed with mostly everything spoken and written in the speeches and the book. ▪️Then I looked into the history of the people that promoted this Hitler hatred and realized that I have more in common with Hitler. I realized he was not the evil one, THEY WERE. When I saw what jews have accomplished for the world, I see why they hated Hitler. He was against everything that jews have now delivered to us. I’m infuriated that I was tricked into hating these German people, the wrong people. ▪️I will continue to speak the truth and spotlight those are hiding in the shadows. I remember going to the movies [at the Carson Twin Cinema] and seeing the trailer for 'Five Fingers of Death' (1972) before it was getting ready to come out. And [I felt] 'Oh wow! this was sort of like Kung Fu'. One of the things they did so well is every year, twice a year they would have a double feature of 'Enter the Dragon' (1973) and 'Five Fingers of Death' (1972). Every time it was on the weekend. It was jam packed all during the day and night. As I mentioned in the review I wrote for 'I escaped from Devil's Island' (1973) where I talk about being in a black theater when I was 10 years old watching Jim Brown in 'Black Gun' (1972). What a formative experience, Cinematic experience it was for me! Right up there was watching the double feature of 'Enter the Dragon' (1973) & 'Five Fingers of Death' (1972) twice a year for about 3 years. Because the way you watched it is you went inside 'Enter the Dragon' first. Then you stayed for 'Five Fingers of Death'. It was a pretty good double feature and it was jam-packed audience. It was filled with bunch of Crips & lowriders. After watching these 3½ hours of martial arts, when it built up to the tournament at the end of 'Five Fingers of Death' & Lo Lieh is running to get to the tournament, everyone's really into it. The fights are going on & stuff but that part at the end when all of a sudden his FISTS GLOW RED & you know he is gonna use the iron fist & they start playing the ironside theme [Quincy Jones' theme], he shows to the audience that the fists are blowing red, the audience LOST THEIR MIND. I've had audiences at the New Beverly lose their mind when we show that film, at that moment. But with those audiences at that environment and coming at the end of over 3 hours of martial arts mayhem & building up to that release it was one of the greatest cause & effect I had ever seen of genre cinema, of action cinema; literally an ORGASMIC feeling in a connection between of not just you but the crowd around you, everyone responding. Other than in uproarious comedies, you never have that relationship with the audience, but you wouldn't in an action movie in normal theaters but in this theater you did." $Please help me sign the petition quoted. It details the events of Saturday Feb 14th when a Chowdeck rider almost killed me & left me with a spinal fracture on the side of the road for 4 hrs, to die. When a Chowdeck Support supervisor came, it was to insult & threaten me Even after Chowdeck was forced by my lawyer doja to confront the damage that had been done a good 4 hours after the accident, it took another 5 hours before I saw the inside of a hospital. A whole 9 hours after suffering a spinal fracture. Nothing. No help. They left me to die. I was sitting in their office with my fractured spine, with my bp skyrocketing, my mental health splintering because I hadn’t taken my drugs. I hadn’t eaten all day too. You know what they were doing in the Chowdeck office as I was watching my life slip away? They were eating pizza. Literally. They were ferrying boxes of pizza in and out. I guess my life isn’t as important as eating pizza, or delivering pizza. Whichever one it was. I mean you have someone wounded badly, from an accident scene, after laying on the road for 4 hours unattended. No first aid, none of their riders have. They don’t have in their main, their head office. Forget first aid, almost nobody has a head in that office. No one checked. Are you okay? Do you need food, drugs, life saving care, your life, anything? Naah. They just wanted to deliver packages to all you love birds. What’s my life when Folake’s Val gift and Chowdeck’s bottom line was on the line? My lawyer and friend had to get us food there while we waited for my spine to sustain more damage and for them to decide if my life was worth their money. I was on the way to buy breakfast when this thing happened. I was coming from The Place Ikeja GRA, in front of Reddington when the cab rider in the first video slammed into me at like 70 or 80km/hr. He plowed through me,tossed me in the air and slammed me on the ground and went on to hit the next person in front of me, Purity Adheke before it fell and stopped. She landed on her head. Hit the concrete with her head. I know someone who has died from that, cracked their skull. After people gathered and called the supervisor he took his sweet time to come. Up to 2 hours. We were just there on the floor like rags. When he came, he seemed uninterested in us. After I insisted on his attention, the man asked me what’s my means of mobility. Listen to that. What’s my means of mobility. WHATS MY MEANS OF MOBILITY!!! Definitely not my fractured spine. Dude comes to an accident scene, sees the victims badly wounded and his rider bleeding profusely and he asks what’s their means of mobility. Please help me sign the petition quoted. It details the events of Saturday Feb 14th when a Chowdeck rider almost killed me & left me with a spinal fracture on the side of the road for 4 hrs, to die. When a Chowdeck Support supervisor came, it was to insult & threaten me Even after Chowdeck was forced by my lawyer doja to confront the damage that had been done a good 4 hours after the accident, it took another 5 hours before I saw the inside of a hospital. A whole 9 hours after suffering a spinal fracture. Nothing. No help. They left me to die. I was sitting in their office with my fractured spine, with my bp skyrocketing, my mental health splintering because I hadn’t taken my drugs. I hadn’t eaten all day too. You know what they were doing in the Chowdeck office as I was watching my life slip away? They were eating pizza. Literally. They were ferrying boxes of pizza in and out. I guess my life isn’t as important as eating pizza, or delivering pizza. Whichever one it was. I mean you have someone wounded badly, from an accident scene, after laying on the road for 4 hours unattended. No first aid, none of their riders have. They don’t have in their main, their head office. Forget first aid, almost nobody has a head in that office. No one checked. Are you okay? Do you need food, drugs, life saving care, your life, anything? Naah. They just wanted to deliver packages to all you love birds. What’s my life when Folake’s Val gift and Chowdeck’s bottom line was on the line? My lawyer and friend had to get us food there while we waited for my spine to sustain more damage and for them to decide if my life was worth their money. I was on the way to buy breakfast when this thing happened. I was coming from The Place Ikeja GRA, in front of Reddington when the cab rider in the first video slammed into me at like 70 or 80km/hr. He plowed through me,tossed me in the air and slammed me on the ground and went on to hit the next person in front of me, Purity Adheke before it fell and stopped. She landed on her head. I have a story about addiction from a different perspective. A story where recovery was not possible. I have one sibling. An older brother. Everyone loved him. It was easy to love him. He died 10 years ago. It was a horrible death that took him 20 years to accomplish, dragging everyone who loved him along the way. He was an amazing musician. He didn't read music. No lessons. Hand him any instrument, and he can play it. He had a big heart. He was easily the funniest person I've ever known. And he is the only other human being who speaks fluent movie-script-quotes with precision and skill. But alcohol took over in his mid-20s. Bam Margera is just 2 years younger than my brother. He reminds me of my brother *so* much. Everything Bam and his family went through with his addiction is what my brother and family went through. My brother left high school because he was a gifted songwriter and musician. Bam left because he was a gifted skater. My brother was really into editing and producing films, and so is Bam. When Ryan Dunn died, and Bam went off the deep end, I was watching my brother do the same thing every time a strong emotion hit him, and he simply didn't know what to do with it. My brother was so beautiful on the outside, yet unrecognizable at the end. I can not tell you how many times my brother would go missing. Hundreds of times. He would sometimes go missing for up to a week. Then we'd get a call from the police or a hospital. Usually, the hospital would be first because he'd be near death. Then they would keep him on a 5150 at a mental health facility. Then he would come home. One time, he chased me with a knife in his hand, screaming he was going to kill me as I was running out of my parents' home on a cordless phone dialing 911. I found a fifth of vodka in his room and poured it down the drain. He went looking for it 20 minutes later, and it was empty...and I told him I poured it out. When I was 24 years old, I landed my first job that came with an office. My name was outside of it. I was stoked. I worked my ass off to get there. But there was no happiness at that time in my life. I remember my father calling me at work, sitting in that office, to say he was coming to pick me up because he knew where my brother, who had been missing for 4 days, was. The credit card he stole from my mother showed he was at a little oceanfront motel 10 minutes away. And I remember thinking to myself on the way over there...I have to open the motel room door. I can't let my dad see him hanging. It will destroy his life. I told my dad to wait about 10 feet to my left, and I opened the door, and there was my brother fashioning a sheet into a noose. Another time he went missing, and they found him on the roof of a building with the inside of his arms slashed from elbow to wrist, just lying in a pool of blood. Dark shit. Both of the insides of his arms were mutilated from being sliced open so many times. At least 30, if not more. He stopped wearing short-sleeved shirts in public about 10 years before he died. He got to the point of seizures when he withdrew and had alcohol-related dementia for the last 3 years of his life, which would come and go. Then one day, after 2 decades, he called my parents and said something was wrong. My parents went over to his place, ended up calling 911, the ambulance got there, and he started walking outside with assistance from paramedics and collapsed. In front of my parents. He was rushed to the hospital. I had not seen my brother for the last 9 years of his life. He disowned me. Because he felt he had to. He killed my dog when he got drunk 9 years before he died. No one knows if he meant to or not, he was so wasted. He couldn't face me after that. So he disowned me. And a piece of my heart died the day he did it. I talked to my parents right before they left to see what was wrong that day. The last thing I said to my dad was, "Do not let him die without me having an opportunity to say goodbye." My dad called me from the er 2 hours later and said, "You should come over now. He won't know you're here." When I got there, I was shocked at what I saw. He wasn't the right color. He was in a coma. Severe internal bleeding. On life support. It was jarring even after seeing him in a much similar state hundreds of times for such a long time. He was taken to the ICU 3 hours later, where they would transfuse blood by the bag damn near constantly, and it just shot out of his nose. It was bloody. A lot of blood. After about 6 hours, I told my parents to go home and get some rest. I would stay with him. And I talked to him like he was right there. Like one of the hundreds of pillow-fort slumber parties we had as kids. Like no time had passed, and his addiction never existed. I showed him pictures of my life over the past decade on my phone...just like he was there. But he wasn't there. And after 3 hours and extensive talks with several doctors and specialists, I had to make the decision to remove his life support. After my parents returned and said goodbye, I told them to wait out in the hall until he passed because I could not allow them to have the memory of him dying, and I returned to my brother's side, and said what I needed to say, bawling my heart out. I told them to turn off the machines, and I held him in my arms as he died. It took just over 7 minutes. And I just held him. I had Nine Inch Nails playing for him. One of his favorites thanks to Pretty Hate Machine. He was a fan for life after that. He was my best friend. But he was also someone I had to protect myself from if he was intoxicated. This is the end that usually becomes a reality for addicts and their families. Then there's someone like Bam Margera. He went to the same place my brother went to in his head. And he came back. Bam is one of the greatest comebacks ever and a story of recovery worth knowing. I see YouTube shorts of Bam skating again every day, and I'm so moved that I just sit here and cry. You can see his personality is back. You have no idea how rare that is. Their personality shows very little while they're in their addiction. Recovery stories are incredibly personal to so many people, including those who have gone through addiction with an addict because they love them so much...they'd see anything they had to see and endure anything they have to endure just to be there with them at their lowest point. Addicts are not monsters. The stuff they use to numb the pain they do not understand is the real monster. And when you put enough of that into a human being, they do things they would *never* do without it. People are not pure. We are more complex than that. We are good and bad. Light and dark. Right and wrong. Chaotic and serene. You will find that the answer to every question you have about life is usually "both" for a reason. Because one can not exist without the other. With recovery stories like Hunter Biden's and Bam Margera's out in the ether, more people will be less ignorant as to how this disease plays out, and that will do nothing but good for so many families struggling with this issue. Addiction isn't just for the addict. Addiction is for everyone who loves them, as well. It's just a different perspective of hell. So listen to recovery stories with renewed respect because most addicts end up the way it ended for the only sibling I'll ever have.

When I was in high school, my dad was diagnosed with ALS. 💔 For four years, I helped care for him while watching someone I loved slowly lose the ability to do the things most of us take for granted. Eventually he passed away a few weeks before he was supposed to watch me graduate... 😔 At the time, it definitely felt unfair. Painful. Heavy. What San Francisco 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan talks about in this clip is something I think everyone eventually learns, and I had to learn at a young age: Experiences aren’t inherently good or bad. They’re neutral. They’re simply information. ⏳Time always reveals what they were preparing you for. So many of the skills I rely on today: perspective, resilience, empathy, patience, gratitude... Were all forged in that season I lost my Dad. Being his primary caretaker alongside my mom, I got a masters level course whether I wanted it or not in teamwork, communication, and what "hard" really meant. I learned a ton of intangible skills but also tangible skills in passing the time at his bedside: design skills, computer skills, and read/wrote A TON. 📚 These skills certainly helped me break into the competitive industry of sports. That experience changed the trajectory of my family’s life. What once felt like tragedy also carried gifts I couldn’t see in the moment, and now am quite thankful for. That's not easy to process, but incredibly powerful to understand. Kyle's dad got fired, he was hurting. That period of time sparked the desire to go work for him if he ever got the chance. An experience he's now eternally grateful for, that has opened doors for him and his family he never dreamed of. 🚪 🧑‍🌾 Much like the old Chinese farmer story, every event in our lives should be followed by the same response: “Maybe. "It’s news that we’re trying to prepare for this early release after the murder, barely four years today.
