Jude Bellingham reflects on his clash with Lionel Messi during England’s World Cup semi-final defeat to Argentina. 🗣️ “Football is played with emotion, and in a World Cup semi-final I let that emotion get the better of me. I tried to provoke Messi because I thought it might distract him. Looking back now… it was probably the worst decision I made all night.” “We were leading 1-0 and I felt we had control. After our exchange, he didn’t argue back. He didn’t lose his temper. He just looked at me, gave a small nod and walked away. At the time I didn’t think much of it.” “But a few minutes later, I realised exactly what that nod meant.” “It was like he had accepted the challenge. Suddenly every time he touched the ball, something dangerous happened. He stopped forcing things, started controlling the tempo and made the entire game revolve around him. Then came the two assists that completely changed the match.” “I’ll never forget the moment Argentina scored their second goal. I looked over at Messi and remembered that nod. That’s when it hit me. I just stood there thinking, ‘It’s over… he’s done it again.’” “I’ve faced great players before, but I’ve never seen anyone respond to pressure like that. Most players react with anger when you provoke them. Messi reacts with football. That’s what makes him so frightening.” “I regret trying to get into his head because all I did was bring out the very best version of him. We had one foot in the World Cup final, and he ripped that dream away with two moments of pure genius.” “That nod wasn’t frustrationit was confidence. Looking back now, I think Messi already knew something the rest of us didn’t. Once he reached that level, deep down I knew England were in serious trouble.”

Lionel Scaloni on losing the FIFA World Cup final to Spain. 🗣️ “I’ve lost matches before, but nothing prepared me for this. The moment the final whistle blew, I looked at my players, I looked at my staff, then I looked at Leo… and I couldn’t hold back my tears. I broke down because I knew how much every single one of us had sacrificed to be here.” “When I saw Messi standing there in silence, it shattered me. At 39 years old he gave everything he had left for Argentina. Every sprint hurt, every touch carried responsibility, every minute was played with his heart. As his coach, watching him walk away without lifting the trophy is one of the most painful moments of my life.” “I walked into the dressing room and there wasn’t a single voice. Only tears. Men who fought for their country until they had nothing left were sitting there with their heads down. Leo apologized to us… apologized. Imagine that. The greatest player in history apologizing after giving us absolutely everything. That broke me even more.” “I told him, ‘No, Captain. Don’t you ever apologize. We followed you because you never stopped believing. You carried this shirt with pride until the very last second. If anyone should be thanking someone tonight, it’s Argentina thanking you.’” “This defeat will stay with me forever. Not because we lost a final, but because I witnessed one of the greatest footballers to ever live leave the biggest stage with tears in his eyes after giving his country everything he had. Some defeats hurt far deeper than the scoreboard.” “The trophy belongs to Spain tonight, and they deserve congratulations. But no result can erase what Lionel Messi means to Argentina. He didn’t fail us. He gave us a lifetime of memories, another unforgettable World Cup and one final lesson in courage. I’ll forever be proud that I had the privilege of coaching the greatest player football has ever seen.”

Absolutely heartbreaking 💔 😔 👼 Our hearts go out to you Kari Bundy 🙏 💛 “Fifteen years ago tonight, I had no idea those sweet baby laughs from my little boy would be the last I would ever hear. I did not know that would be the final time I would hold him close, warm and snuggled against me, safe in my arms. Because just after midnight on that night fifteen years ago, I leaned over his bassinet to give him one last goodnight kiss and felt the chill on his cheek. He was dead. Mason Forrest Bundy was born October 22, 2010: a bright-eyed, healthy, perfect baby. On March 1, 2011, I brought him in for his routine 4-month wellness check. I asked the doctor if we could delay or skip the vaccines. Instead we were heavily pressured. The doctor told my husband and I that refusing them, especially the DTaP, meant we were “signing his death certificate.” We relented. He received all his scheduled shots that day. Four days later, at 12:06 a.m. on March 5, I found him lifeless in his crib. The autopsy showed nothing unusual. Official cause of death: unknown. But I know what happened. Healthy babies do not simply die out of nowhere. A cluster of eight vaccines followed by sudden, unexplained death is not unknown. It is a pattern far too many families have tragically lived through. In the crushing aftermath of losing him, I began digging relentlessly into hidden risks everywhere: vaccines, pesticides, heavy metals, processed foods, environmental toxins… anything that could threaten our children's health. What started as desperate searching to understand why my healthy baby was suddenly taken became a lifelong vow to uncover truths and protect other families from the same unbearable pain I carry every single day. I will never be the same person I was before that night. And I will never stop. I will keep digging deeper into the places where these truths are buried, reading every study, every suppressed report, every whistleblower account, every piece of raw data I can get my hands on. I will keep sharing what I find, even when it is uncomfortable, even when it draws attacks or gets censored, because staying silent only shields the people and systems that failed us. I will keep fighting for real answers: for true informed consent, for honest investigations instead of quick dismissals, for policies that value our children's lives more than profits or convenience. This is not temporary. This is not something grief will ever let me walk away from. This is a promise I made the moment I understood my healthy, laughing baby was taken in a way no one wants to name. I owe it to Mason. I owe it to every child who followed the same heartbreaking path. I owe it to every parent still trusting a system that betrayed us. For Mason. I miss you more than words can say, bubba. 💛 Always.” - Kari Bundy - ✍️

Luis de la Fuente on facing Lionel Messi and Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final. 🗣️ “I’ll be honest if there was one team I didn’t want to face in a World Cup final, it was Argentina. And the biggest reason is Lionel Messi.” “At 39 years old, he’s still playing football that doesn’t make sense. Most players at that age are watching the World Cup from home. Messi is deciding semi-finals, creating goals, leading an entire nation and carrying the pressure of millions on his shoulders as if it’s nothing.” “I watched the match against England very closely. Argentina were behind, the game was slipping away, and then Messi reminded the world why he’s different. He didn’t panic. He didn’t disappear. He produced two moments of pure genius, two incredible assists, and suddenly Argentina were in another World Cup final.” “That is exactly what scares every coach. You can prepare for Argentina for months. You can analyse every player, every movement and every tactical detail. But there is no tactical board in the world that can fully prepare you for Lionel Messi when he decides to take control of a match.” “He doesn’t need ten chances. He doesn’t even need to score. One pass, one dribble or one touch is enough to destroy ninety minutes of perfect work. That’s why he’s still the most dangerous player in world football.” “People keep talking about his age. I stopped looking at his age a long time ago. When the biggest matches arrive, Messi doesn’t play like a 39-year-old he plays like the greatest footballer in history.” “As a coach, I have enormous respect for Argentina, but I’d be lying if I said Messi doesn’t keep me awake. When a player like that is on the pitch, you know your team has to be perfect for every single second. One lapse in concentration and he’ll punish you.” “Facing Argentina is difficult. Facing Argentina with Lionel Messi playing at this level is every coach’s biggest challenge. He’s still the player who can decide a World Cup final with one moment of magic, and that’s why the whole football world respects and fears him.”

David Beckham on England’s 2-1 defeat to Argentina after Lionel Messi inspired the comeback. 🗣️ “I’ll be honest I exploded when England scored. I was on my feet celebrating because I genuinely thought we had one foot in the World Cup final. Then I looked at the pitch and one thought hit me… ‘Messi is still playing.’” “And that’s the mistake everyone makes. They celebrate too early against a man who has spent nearly twenty years destroying dreams. The scoreboard said England were winning. Messi’s face said, ‘This game isn’t over.’” “I know Leo better than most because he plays for my club. I’ve watched him train, I’ve watched him prepare, I’ve watched him win. But even knowing how special he is, what he produced tonight still left me speechless.” “England had the lead, the momentum and the crowd. Then Messi completely took over the match without even needing to score. Two assists. Two moments of pure genius. He ripped England’s belief apart and dragged Argentina into another World Cup final.” “At 39 years old, he made some of the best defenders in world football look like they were chasing shadows. That’s frightening. Most players are retired by that age. Messi is still deciding World Cup semi-finals.” “As an Englishman, this is heartbreaking. As a football man, I have to be honest I’ve never seen anything like him. You can have the perfect game plan, the perfect tactics and the perfect lead, but if Lionel Messi decides the story isn’t finished, he’ll rewrite the ending himself.” “I celebrated England’s goal… and ten minutes later I was watching the greatest player I’ve ever seen tear our World Cup dream into pieces. That’s how ruthless he is. That’s why every generation will remember his name.” “I wanted England in the final more than anything. But when Lionel Messi reaches this level, you stop watching a footballer… you’re watching football history being written right in front of your eyes.”

Avon saw the whole forest. When you are dealing with dudes like Marlo, whose principle is not to make money but pure power in the streets, you cannot use money or other "clever" negotiation tactics to tame him. The only option is to take him out. Avon saw that Prop Joe and Stringer didn't. Look what happens in the end. He listened to everything stringer said and still said " I want my corners "😂 Just imagine while stringer is talking, hank Schrader come in and say to him "you're the smartest guy l've ever met, and you're too stupid to see he made up his mind ten minutes ago. Avon wasnt trying to hear none of that downtown businesman talk. Stringer thought he could change him. The street is the street always. Stringer wasn't soft and he had some intelligence. He was just slimy and not as smart as he thought he was. Avon knew the game well, his instincts were sharp. Also, as implied, Avon's off screen network and relationships are vast in New York & Baltimore. Stringer wanted to invest his money legitimately but still make dirty money wholesaling and not getting involved with retail. The direction he was trying to take would have sunk the organization. He wanted to move like he was the connect but he wasn't. Prop Joe had the connect and the Greeks were the plug. Stringer couldn't see their foothold was their structure & network, territory, muscle and respect in the streets at that point after they lost their connect in season 1. He thought he could talk Marlo into working with him and the co-op. What he wanted would have made him lose power and put more of it into Prop Joe's hands. Prop helped create the wedge between Avon & Stringer if you watch closely that was his endgame.🎬🍿

🚨BREAKING: (Chicago suburb, St. Charles) ICE agents smashed a handcuffed man’s face into a stone wall, then assaulted a U.S. citizen, multiple times, once they realized they were filming. In the video, multiple ICE agents have a man in handcuffs. While he is completely under their control, and not resisting, they smash his face into a stone wall. A U.S. citizen begins asking for the man’s name, while filming... note that he is not interfering, blocking the agents, or preventing the arrest in any way…. But that doesn’t stop the ICE agent from chases after him, while another agent threatens him with a taser. As the citizen is actively backing away, the agent continues walking toward him, and aggressively shoves him backwards. Even after the detained man is being escorted to the vehicle… and the legal observer is nowhere near the agents, or their cars… that same ICE agent continues shoving the U.S. citizen for no apparent reason. And while he is standing on the public sidewalk, another agent walks over and points a taser inches from him, and then turns around and points his taser at other innocent people, who are just standing and watching. Americans have a First Amendment right to record government officials performing their duties in public. Threatening, intimidating, or assaulting someone because they are documenting law enforcement, violates that right. And slamming a person face, who is handcuffed and not resisting, into a stone wall is excessive force. This is exactly why it’s important to always record anytime you see ICE agents. Because when there isn’t video evidence, we’re told to trust the government’s version of events. And more often than not, their version is filled with lies. But when there is video, the people filming often become the next target… just for documenting what is happening. And that’s what makes this so alarming. This is happening across the country, almost every single day. Americans are watching videos of people being thrown to the ground, beaten, threatened, shoved, tased, and intimidated by federal agents… while never seeing anyone held accountable. When a government refuses to investigate or discipline agents who violate people’s constitutional rights, it sends a message that they can keep doing it. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing. The Constitution means nothing if the people sworn to uphold it can violate it without consequence. And as long as this administration refuses to hold ICE agents accountable, Americans should expect to keep seeing videos like this… because impunity breeds abuse.

Two years ago, I watched Rips on TopstepTV and looked up to him. I had been trading for about a year. I had made my first $100,000 with Topstep, earned an invitation onto TopstepTV, and was beginning to believe I might actually belong in this industry. Of everyone on that network, Rips was the trader I respected. Today, he called me a legend. He told his audience to follow me and said: “I don’t follow a lot of people. I follow him.” That moment hit harder than he probably realizes. Because he knows the headline: $2.2 million across 13 accounts in 16 trading days. He did not know everything behind it. At the time, I was going through an awful divorce. My mother had died. My father was suffering from severe depression. He could barely get out of bed or eat. I had full custody of my four-year-old son and was raising him alone while his mother slowly faded from his life. I was simultaneously taking care of my 77-year-old father that recently passed, God rest his soul, and trying to accomplish things that to most seemed impossible. I was grieving the loss of my marriage, my mother, and, in many ways, my father, while carrying the complete responsibility of raising another human being alone, being both mother and father to him. Still, I gathered whatever strength I had left for one final run. The run that was going to change the rest of my life. I had made a discovery in Order Flow. I believed I had reverse-engineered the mechanics behind one of the most widely used concepts in trading: the fair value gap. Instead of treating it as a zone, I reduced it to one precise price. I tested it. I passed 13 accounts. Then I traded green for 16 consecutive days and produced $2.2 million in account profits. I wasn’t trying to participate. I was trying to become number one, build a name, and change my son’s life. What came next felt like psychological warfare. The first payout denial cited risk management. I took a $500,000 haircut and kept going. Two more weeks. Come back for double. Another payout request. Another denial. Another quarter-million to half-million-dollar haircut. Come back for double. The cycle repeated while I worked my way through seemingly every denial in the Rolodex. For months, I stared at numbers that could have changed our lives while being unable to access them. I had put everything into that run. There were nights when I wondered whether my son would be better off without me and whether my life was worth living. I came frighteningly close to giving up on life, not just trading. Then I watched a blatant confession about using these same mechanics to see whether traders would break, as though it were simply part of the playbook. I cannot describe what hearing that did to me. There were trading days when I said to myself: “Fuck it. Let’s blow the accounts.” I remember literally slapping the shit out of myself. Slapping that thought out of my head and forcing myself to keep fighting. So I kept fighting. I contacted every major trader and affiliate I could find. Almost nobody responded. futurestradingwithkellyann was the only person who cared enough to point me in the right direction. I will be forever grateful to her and the work she has done for this community. She didn’t just help me. Without knowing it, she helped save my life. I survived the divorce. I survived the grief. I survived being broke and bleeding tens of thousands of dollars to divorce attorneys every month while staring at millions I couldn’t touch. I survived my own mind. And two years later, one of the traders I looked up to told thousands of people that I was a legend. I’m not writing this because I think I’m one. I’m writing it for the person who put everything into one final run and is beginning to believe it was all for nothing. It may not be over. Do not let one company, one denial, one failure, or one season of your life convince you that you are finished. Keep going. Sometimes the person you look up to eventually looks across the room and recognizes you. Thank you, Rips. This one meant more than the payout itself. And to the struggling trader who may not have thousands of dollars to invest in education: In my humble opinion, Rips has earned his place at the top. He can provide more value in 15 minutes of streaming than many people deliver in an entire paid course. The fact that he gives it away for free is almost absurd. Real recognizes real. #LevelsToThis

Breaking: Restoring Trust! My friend Seth Keshel is one of the most honest and rigorous minds in America when it comes to the data behind our elections. After the 2022 midterm disaster, Seth sent me a private message. Like many of us, he was discouraged. The fight felt heavier than the progress. What I told him then, I will tell everyone reading this now. Our faith teaches that with God all things are possible. That does not mean we sit on our hands and wait for Him to fix what He called us to fix. We seek His direction, and then we move. We stand our posts. God does not want us cowering in the trench while Satan rampages through our institutions and through this world. He has tasked us with proclaiming truth and shining His light into the darkest places. There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is sovereign over all, does not cry, "Mine." That message was for Seth on a hard day two years ago. It is for every American with eyes open today. Seth's new book, The American War on Election Corruption: The Crusade to Restore Trust in Voting, is the most comprehensive account of election fraud ever assembled in a single volume. This morning, I was returning from a condolence visit here in Lagos. A townsman had sadly lost his wife to the cold hands of death. After spending a good part of the day there, I decided to drive straight to my office instead of going back home first as I had originally planned. Lagos life no dey wait for anybody—if you blink twice, hold-up will use your destiny to do rehearsal. Barely ten minutes into the journey, I was flagged down by the Nigerian police. In true Naija fashion, they used the vehicle in front of mine as human shield to stop me—as if we were filming an action movie. I was about to properly park, but the officer immediately started demanding my driver’s license right there in the middle of the expressway. I politely asked him to allow me park first so I wouldn’t cause obstruction, but oga said no. Before I could say “Officer, calm down,” traffic had already started building up like JAMB website during registration season. After plenty back and forth, he finally allowed me to park halfway along the Isheri-Idimu Expressway. I handed him my driver’s license. He checked it and returned it. Next, he asked for my vehicle license. I gave it to him. Then he requested for roadworthiness. I handed that over too. Suddenly, his mood changed like NEPA light during rainy season. He flared up and started shouting that I did not give him all the documents at once. I was confused. I simply gave him exactly what he asked for, one after the other. But apparently, in his own constitution, I was supposed to have read his mind and submitted my entire family tree. He began yelling that I was wasting his time. I asked him calmly, “Officer, how exactly am I wasting your time?” The next statement shocked me: “I will change it for you o! In fact, come and open your boot!” At that point, tempers were rising on both sides. I told him, perhaps with more confidence than wisdom, to go and open it himself. But quickly remembering that what Nigerian Police officers cannot do does not exist, I decided to come down and open it myself before my village people would be accused. He searched my boot like he was looking for the missing budget of the federation. He scattered everything. Then he entered the car, opened compartments, checked under seats—searching for what was not lost. Meanwhile, while he was performing his ministry, I was quietly recording him with my phone. When he finally realized I was videoing him, ah! Ladies and gentlemen, the atmosphere changed immediately. Heaven did not fall, but hell applied for overtime. He insulted me.He called me names. He raised his voice. But trust me, it was aura for aura, egusi for egusi, pepper for pepper, back to sender with express delivery. At the end of the day, the devil searched but found nothing on the son of man. No hidden “something for the boys.” Just an innocent man trying to survive Lagos and reach his office in peace. Eventually, I entered my car and drove off, leaving behind the drama, the dust, and one very disappointed officer whose fishing expedition returned no catch. Moral lessons: First, integrity is expensive, but it saves you from unnecessary fear. When your hands are clean, your confidence becomes your defense. Second, power without courtesy becomes oppression. Uniform should command respect, not fear. Third, wisdom matters. In Nigeria, sometimes you need the patience of Job, the boldness of David, and the prayer life of Elijah just to survive one police checkpoint. And finally, life itself is unpredictable. From attending a condolence visit in the morning to almost acting Season 2 of “Police Wahala” by afternoon, one thing is clear: every day in Lagos deserves its own Nollywood documentary. Glenn Beck remembers Scott Adams: 'A philosopher disguised as a stick-figure artist' | BlazeTV Staff, Blaze Media After Adams’ death following a battle with cancer, Beck honors the cartoonist as a hidden philosopher and truth-seeker. After a hard-fought battle with cancer, the beloved “Dilbert” creator Scott Adams has passed away — and Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck is devastated. “We pause for a minute. Not for a punch line,” Glenn begins solemnly. “We pause for a man who quietly became something far more important than most people ever realized. Scott Adams, for most of his life, was just a cartoonist. As if just a cartoonist is a small thing. He was a cartoonist that connected with us because there was so much wisdom in that little man, that everyman,” he says. “He was a guy we all loved. After you heard his political views, I’m sure half of the country did not love him. But he became a guiding light for so many people who are just willing to think honestly,” he continues. “You didn’t have to agree with him. He just asked you to think. He became a mentor in a way to so many people just trying to understand how influence really works. He was a guy who was changing his life, and he would mentor us through our lives by watching how he was dealing with things. He really was a philosopher who was disguised as a stick-figure artist.” And he was a man who found the courage to convert to Christianity in his final moments. “You’re going to hear for the first time today that it is my plan to convert. So I still have time, but my understanding is you’re never too late. And on top of that, any skepticism I have about reality would certainly be instantly answered if I wake up in heaven,” Adams said in a video he recorded before his passing. “And so to my Christian friends, yes, it’s coming. So you don’t need to talk me into it. I am now convinced that the risk-reward is completely smart. If it turns out that there’s nothing there, I’ve lost nothing. But I’ve respected your wishes, and I like doing that. If it turns out there is something there and the Christian model is the closest to it, I win,” he continued. “So with your permission, I promise you that I will convert,” he added. “I love that,” Glenn says, “because even there he’s being honest.” “But while Scott said that lightly, I doubt he took that lightly,” he says. “He was a deep thinker.”

⚡️⚡️Adolf Hitler And Me⚡️⚡️ ▪️”They destroyed the best chance we ever had in the world.” ▪️Growing up, I was always drawn to the swastika for some odd reason. Every time I saw it, my eyes stared at it longer than it should have, it captivated me. ▪️As a child watching World War II movies and documentaries about Hitler, I always asked my teachers, Parents & Grandparents, why did he do those “terrible things?” No one ever had an answer that went deeper than, “he was crazy, he was a psychopath, he was a maniac.” But in the videos the German people appeared to love him. ▪️As I aged I started watching the documentaries and movies that explained Hitler in a good light 💡 I listened to the Hitler speeches (that were never translated while growing up because without the words he seemed like an angry person spewing hate). But instead I heard a proud patriot wanting the best for his people-uniting the German people, traditional family values, showcasing morals and highlighting the reason why the country was in poverty for many decades. ▪️Then I read Mein Kamph (was also banned throughout the world). It is still banned in some countries. I read nothing evil in the book, in fact I agreed with mostly everything spoken and written in the speeches and the book. ▪️Then I looked into the history of the people that promoted this Hitler hatred and realized that I have more in common with Hitler. I realized he was not the evil one, THEY WERE. When I saw what jews have accomplished for the world, I see why they hated Hitler. He was against everything that jews have now delivered to us. I’m infuriated that I was tricked into hating these German people, the wrong people. ▪️I will continue to speak the truth and spotlight those are hiding in the shadows. Jews have demonized a good man. And now the world is realizing that reason…. hope you enjoy the video. 🎥 Feel free to share your “noticing” story below 👇🏽

Please help me sign the petition quoted. It details the events of Saturday Feb 14th when a Chowdeck rider almost killed me & left me with a spinal fracture on the side of the road for 4 hrs, to die. When a Chowdeck Support supervisor came, it was to insult & threaten me Even after Chowdeck was forced by my lawyer doja to confront the damage that had been done a good 4 hours after the accident, it took another 5 hours before I saw the inside of a hospital. A whole 9 hours after suffering a spinal fracture. Nothing. No help. They left me to die. I was sitting in their office with my fractured spine, with my bp skyrocketing, my mental health splintering because I hadn’t taken my drugs. I hadn’t eaten all day too. You know what they were doing in the Chowdeck office as I was watching my life slip away? They were eating pizza. Literally. They were ferrying boxes of pizza in and out. I guess my life isn’t as important as eating pizza, or delivering pizza. Whichever one it was. I mean you have someone wounded badly, from an accident scene, after laying on the road for 4 hours unattended. No first aid, none of their riders have. They don’t have in their main, their head office. Forget first aid, almost nobody has a head in that office. No one checked. Are you okay? Do you need food, drugs, life saving care, your life, anything? Naah. They just wanted to deliver packages to all you love birds. What’s my life when Folake’s Val gift and Chowdeck’s bottom line was on the line? My lawyer and friend had to get us food there while we waited for my spine to sustain more damage and for them to decide if my life was worth their money. I was on the way to buy breakfast when this thing happened. I was coming from The Place Ikeja GRA, in front of Reddington when the cab rider in the first video slammed into me at like 70 or 80km/hr. He plowed through me,tossed me in the air and slammed me on the ground and went on to hit the next person in front of me, Purity Adheke before it fell and stopped. She landed on her head. Hit the concrete with her head. I know someone who has died from that, cracked their skull. After people gathered and called the supervisor he took his sweet time to come. Up to 2 hours. We were just there on the floor like rags. When he came, he seemed uninterested in us. After I insisted on his attention, the man asked me what’s my means of mobility. Listen to that. What’s my means of mobility. WHATS MY MEANS OF MOBILITY!!! Definitely not my fractured spine. Dude comes to an accident scene, sees the victims badly wounded and his rider bleeding profusely and he asks what’s their means of mobility. I am sitting there with my fractured spine and he asks that. I lose my cool at that point and the Chowdeck supervisor also loses his cool. I am angry at being near killed, maimed and left for hours to die. But whats your grouse? You are angry that I am angry? You can see all this in the second and third video. He’s in a heated exchange with me and my fractured spine. He tells me that I will regret this. He will clear my doubts. That means fuck me up. Like literally insult over injury. I am there barely standing, life going out of me, looking at permanent impairment, one step closer every second. And he threatens to beat me up, finish the job of killing me. Is that what Chowdeck employed their rider and supervisor for? Like hey rider, ram into that guy and if he survives, you supervisor, finish him up? Esp if he’s upset that you almost you know, almost killed him in the first place? Because I still don’t understand.

Michael Jordan: "To win, you got to lose. To be happy, you got to have disappointment." "I really don't have regrets. As soon as you look back in your history and you come up with something you feel like you want to change, something else has to change." On disappointment: "To win, you got to lose. To be successful, you got to have something that's not successful. To be happy, you got to have disappointment. All of those things have evolved to make me who I am and understand the benefits and privileges I have for being who I am." Jordan shares what his parents taught him: "Don't wear your reputation. Don't wear your accolades. Don't wear your personality on your sleeve. Let it happen. Let it be you. It is who you are, don't hide from it. But don't rub it in people's faces." On being voted the greatest athlete: "It's ironic that I'm the youngest of the three. It's all relevant based on who is watching now. If you ask 20 years from now, I'm pretty sure LeBron may beat me based on who's going to be making the voting. I say that to understand: it is what it is. I don't wear it. I don't showcase it. Someone else's opinion. As an athlete, all you want to do is be the best athlete you can be." Jordan reflects on his father: "I had him for 32 years. Obviously, he was murdered. Rarely do I get the chance to talk about him. But the thing I remember, I think about him practically every day. For a person like myself, who lives in the spotlight and is so critical from people all the time, what I do, what I say, where I go, the thing he always said: 'Take a pause before you make a decision. And say: what if.'" He explains the purpose: "Whatever decision you make is always going to have consequences, pros and cons. If you think about the consequences, you make the right decisions. Now, all the decisions I made, other people may view them as not the right decisions from their perspective." Jordan addresses his "failed" baseball career: "Everybody says it was a failed opportunity to play baseball. That's what they think. For me, it was the best thing that could have happened. It allowed me to go back to the game with stronger passion. At the same time, I was able to understand the love these minor league baseball players have, making $1,500 a month. Which is nothing. But for them, it was big." He continues: "To see that helped me put things in perspective to understand the platform I was on in '93. When I went back to it in '95 and '96, I appreciated it even greater. When we won those championships, those things mattered to me far greater than what I did in '91, '92, '93. People don't see that. People will never understand that." Jordan shares the deeper lesson: "All they think about is, well, he batted .202, he struck out a certain number of times. Yeah, okay. But the effort was there. The learning curve and the passion was there. That has transcended not just to me, but to other people who are afraid to do things because they're worried about the perception from other places. To me, that's more gratifying than anything. That's what my father and mother instilled in me: take a negative and turn it into a positive. Don't be afraid to fail." On his mother's constant reminder: "My mother calls me practically every day. The last words are always: 'Keep your nose clean.' That's her constant reminder: people are watching, people are learning, people are paying attention." On why he stepped back from the spotlight: "I want my life to be my life. My time in the spotlight is dwindling, and I want to be able to control what I do and what I don't want to do. I need no more admiration. I've had enough. And it's been great." Jordan shares what retirement means to him: "Sometimes I surprise myself saying, 'I got nothing to do today. I got nothing to do tomorrow. I got nothing to do on Wednesday.' That's ultimately retirement. That's where I want to be. Not worrying about what I have to do tomorrow while I'm living in the moment right now."

I have a story about addiction from a different perspective. A story where recovery was not possible. I have one sibling. An older brother. Everyone loved him. It was easy to love him. He died 10 years ago. It was a horrible death that took him 20 years to accomplish, dragging everyone who loved him along the way. He was an amazing musician. He didn't read music. No lessons. Hand him any instrument, and he can play it. He had a big heart. He was easily the funniest person I've ever known. And he is the only other human being who speaks fluent movie-script-quotes with precision and skill. But alcohol took over in his mid-20s. Bam Margera is just 2 years younger than my brother. He reminds me of my brother *so* much. Everything Bam and his family went through with his addiction is what my brother and family went through. My brother left high school because he was a gifted songwriter and musician. Bam left because he was a gifted skater. My brother was really into editing and producing films, and so is Bam. When Ryan Dunn died, and Bam went off the deep end, I was watching my brother do the same thing every time a strong emotion hit him, and he simply didn't know what to do with it. My brother was so beautiful on the outside, yet unrecognizable at the end. I can not tell you how many times my brother would go missing. Hundreds of times. He would sometimes go missing for up to a week. Then we'd get a call from the police or a hospital. Usually, the hospital would be first because he'd be near death. Then they would keep him on a 5150 at a mental health facility. Then he would come home. One time, he chased me with a knife in his hand, screaming he was going to kill me as I was running out of my parents' home on a cordless phone dialing 911. I found a fifth of vodka in his room and poured it down the drain. He went looking for it 20 minutes later, and it was empty...and I told him I poured it out. When I was 24 years old, I landed my first job that came with an office. My name was outside of it. I was stoked. I worked my ass off to get there. But there was no happiness at that time in my life. I remember my father calling me at work, sitting in that office, to say he was coming to pick me up because he knew where my brother, who had been missing for 4 days, was. The credit card he stole from my mother showed he was at a little oceanfront motel 10 minutes away. And I remember thinking to myself on the way over there...I have to open the motel room door. I can't let my dad see him hanging. It will destroy his life. I told my dad to wait about 10 feet to my left, and I opened the door, and there was my brother fashioning a sheet into a noose. Another time he went missing, and they found him on the roof of a building with the inside of his arms slashed from elbow to wrist, just lying in a pool of blood. Dark shit. Both of the insides of his arms were mutilated from being sliced open so many times. At least 30, if not more. He stopped wearing short-sleeved shirts in public about 10 years before he died. He got to the point of seizures when he withdrew and had alcohol-related dementia for the last 3 years of his life, which would come and go. Then one day, after 2 decades, he called my parents and said something was wrong. My parents went over to his place, ended up calling 911, the ambulance got there, and he started walking outside with assistance from paramedics and collapsed. In front of my parents. He was rushed to the hospital. I had not seen my brother for the last 9 years of his life. He disowned me. Because he felt he had to. He killed my dog when he got drunk 9 years before he died. No one knows if he meant to or not, he was so wasted. He couldn't face me after that. So he disowned me. And a piece of my heart died the day he did it. I talked to my parents right before they left to see what was wrong that day. The last thing I said to my dad was, "Do not let him die without me having an opportunity to say goodbye." My dad called me from the er 2 hours later and said, "You should come over now. He won't know you're here." When I got there, I was shocked at what I saw. He wasn't the right color. He was in a coma. Severe internal bleeding. On life support. It was jarring even after seeing him in a much similar state hundreds of times for such a long time. He was taken to the ICU 3 hours later, where they would transfuse blood by the bag damn near constantly, and it just shot out of his nose. It was bloody. A lot of blood. After about 6 hours, I told my parents to go home and get some rest. I would stay with him. And I talked to him like he was right there. Like one of the hundreds of pillow-fort slumber parties we had as kids. Like no time had passed, and his addiction never existed. I showed him pictures of my life over the past decade on my phone...just like he was there. But he wasn't there. And after 3 hours and extensive talks with several doctors and specialists, I had to make the decision to remove his life support. After my parents returned and said goodbye, I told them to wait out in the hall until he passed because I could not allow them to have the memory of him dying, and I returned to my brother's side, and said what I needed to say, bawling my heart out. I told them to turn off the machines, and I held him in my arms as he died. It took just over 7 minutes. And I just held him. I had Nine Inch Nails playing for him. One of his favorites thanks to Pretty Hate Machine. He was a fan for life after that. He was my best friend. But he was also someone I had to protect myself from if he was intoxicated. This is the end that usually becomes a reality for addicts and their families. Then there's someone like Bam Margera. He went to the same place my brother went to in his head. And he came back. Bam is one of the greatest comebacks ever and a story of recovery worth knowing. I see YouTube shorts of Bam skating again every day, and I'm so moved that I just sit here and cry. You can see his personality is back. You have no idea how rare that is. Their personality shows very little while they're in their addiction. Recovery stories are incredibly personal to so many people, including those who have gone through addiction with an addict because they love them so much...they'd see anything they had to see and endure anything they have to endure just to be there with them at their lowest point. Addicts are not monsters. The stuff they use to numb the pain they do not understand is the real monster. And when you put enough of that into a human being, they do things they would *never* do without it. People are not pure. We are more complex than that. We are good and bad. Light and dark. Right and wrong. Chaotic and serene. You will find that the answer to every question you have about life is usually "both" for a reason. Because one can not exist without the other. With recovery stories like Hunter Biden's and Bam Margera's out in the ether, more people will be less ignorant as to how this disease plays out, and that will do nothing but good for so many families struggling with this issue. Addiction isn't just for the addict. Addiction is for everyone who loves them, as well. It's just a different perspective of hell. So listen to recovery stories with renewed respect because most addicts end up the way it ended for the only sibling I'll ever have.

Bring Me His Other Half, My Son What does a father feel when he carries half of his son in a piece of cloth? When my son Baseer was struck, the missile tore his body in two. We rushed him into an ambulance. His head was beside me on the stretcher, but I could not bear to stay in the back. I asked the driver to stop so I could sit beside him. I stepped out with difficulty, leaning on a paramedic. As the driver’s assistant rose to give me his seat, a piece of cloth holding my son’s remains fell from his lap. I saw my son’s legs and internal organs on the ground. I bent down, gathered them with my own hands, wrapped them again, and held them in my lap. All the way to the hospital, I carried half of my son while the other half lay on the ambulance stretcher. I do not know how a father’s heart can hold such a moment. I only knew that Baseer was my son, and I had to stay with him. When we arrived, I stepped out carrying the cloth. Someone took it from me. I turned to my son as he was lifted from the ambulance and said: “Bring me his other half, my son, so I can put his body back together.” Baseer, I gathered what I could of your body. But how do I put my heart back together without you? Once, I held you as a little boy and worried that even a cold breeze might hurt you. Then I held half of you in a piece of cloth, while the world went on as though nothing had happened. O Allah, You know he is my son, and that I carried every part of him I could. Accept him among the martyrs, and reunite me with him in Your Paradise, where no reunion ends in parting, and no father is called to carry half of his child.
