When ever possible, have someone sit on the back of the trailer as a counterweight. Makes lifting the tongue A LOT EASIER

First time? Typically you make sure you have the right ball hitch first. Secondly you should have your trailer popped up with a jack and blocks of wood. Then backing up towards trailer, trying to get your hitch right under. Then simple as letting the trailer down on the hitch.

You need to grease those balls. They even make a cap to keep the grease on when you’re not using it.

That's a 2 inch trailer coupler and you have the 2 5/8 ball on your hitch. Why post something this stupid?
