The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) a cognitive screening test that Donald Trump famously brags about passing. Well……It’s not an IQ test. It’s designed to screen for mental decline. So Trump took a dementia screening test, correctly named an elephant, and declared himself a stable genius. Trump repeatedly claimed doctors were “very surprised” at how well he did. He got 22/30 on a test that checks if your brain is melting. That’s like bragging about passing a vision test and calling yourself a sniper. So when Trump said, “They show you an elephant and you have to say ‘elephant,’” he was describing one of the easiest tasks on the test. And yes—he bragged about correctly identifying an elephant as if it were a feat of high intelligence.
