When they try to excuse LockDown & their awful behavior w/ "BUT THE SCIENCE HAS CHANGED!" please remember Nobel Prize winner Michael Levitt called out the entire scientific community in Spring 2020 for being a bunch of scared, captured bullies who refused to have a discussion:

🧵& link a very important Lancet Review paper released in Feb 2020 on the psychological impact of Quarantines. The evidence was there - once you lock people into isolation beyond 10-14 days the detrimental psychological impact far outweighs any benefits.

I will never forget the relief I felt when I first saw @MLevitt_NP2013's analysis in early 2020 - and then watched as he and so many others were bullied, harassed, threatened for daring to offer their analyses. There was indeed no need for panic and yet panic descended causing a HUGE toll on millions - the economic strangulation will keep killing millions that the virus did not and could not have.

This is a good reminder for all of us that people discussed in the history books are not those that just blindly followed the crowd. Many times we applaud heroes of the past not realizing the true sacrifice of going against the grain. These times have made this truth real to me.

Academia proved itself to be worse than embarrassing cowards. They were instead activists for civil-liberties-violating interventions, attacking anyone who spoke out about their wisdom and ethics. Whatever independence and “truth to power” tenure was supposed to provide was massively offset by political uniformity and dependency on government funding.

Nothing has changed. That’s their story meant to cover up how wrong they all were.

Levitt came on my radar in April 2020 I think, but I hadn’t seen this. He says something here that I knew but couldn’t prove: it was the scientists’ (and I bet the MDs, too) fear that drove a huge % of them. They got swept up in panic just as easily as the plebs they disdain.
