🐰 I have a friend, and he’s just a regular office worker. When I look at that, I think it’s really impressive. That friend always says to me, “Ah… Seonghwa, it must be really hard for you.” And I tell him, “The work you do yourself always feels the hardest. Rather than comparing or analyzing, it’s just that what you do feels the hardest. So let’s just be thankful for the days we can meet like this.” As I get older, I have friends from Jinju that I’ve been with for 12 years. No - 11 years. We all went to different schools, but somehow we’ve stayed close until now. Our group chat is called “Animal Crossing”, and up until about three years ago, we met often. Until just three years ago… what was it…? We would at least meet once during the holidays, but in these past three years, there’s always been one or two people who couldn’t make it, or sometimes I couldn’t make it. It’s gotten harder and harder to gather. So now we say, “Well, at least it’s lucky if we can see each other at someone’s wedding.” Because I travel abroad often, I might not be able to go, and since there are friends in Jinju too, when they get married, they’ll live there, right? When I think about that, I realize, “Ah, I might not be able to go.” So it’s a bit sad, but it also means that each of us is settling into our own place in life. Someday… That’s why I like a certain line from a drama: “When we meet again, let’s finish the conversations we couldn’t finish.” I really liked that line. And now each of our lives is different.
