1. Aqīdah is important. 2. In future, instead of proceeding to talk about a discussion which you haven’t watched, at least get some context before commenting. This is a problematic way to navigate these issues. 3. I do agree with your comment regarding people treating it as some football match. Such commentators should act with a level of maturity. Assalamu alaikum I am talking about the discussions (plural) that so many seem obsessed with. My message this morning was triggered by the reaction to the latest in a long line. Aqeedah is important but revisiting subjects that have been debated by many better than us for centuries - particularly on a medium that is not really geared for nuance - rarely achieves a clarity in our beliefs such that it allows us to worship our Rabb better than we do. The types of discussion that dominate social media are rarely constructive conversations on such sensitive topics. I would argue they confuse and polarise people more they enlighten and unite us. And there is a lot of point scoring because Shaytan will usually fuel our egos. My social media feeds have been full of people treating these discussions as sport for months now. Most of the comments suggest people are simply lining up behind their team. But stand by my point. If we really think we have the luxury to spend time on this in this way - with the problems we have under our noses and across the world- it is deeply depressing. Allah knows best

You are part of the problem. One side is fighting for Allah’s right- that none is to be worshipped except Allah. The other side is watering down tawheed- saying that praying to Jesus isn’t shirk. Instead of coming out for the side of tawheed, you want to downplay these issues.

A “da’ee” is encouraging Muslims to worship other than Allah; claiming du’a to Jesus/Krishna and seeking divine assistance from the inhabitants of graves is NOT shirk, and your response is to make this about Palestine? Reverts are having doubts because of this “da’ee” but hey, let’s tell the reverts to focus on Palestine instead.

@Haqiqatjou have been talking about this for the past year and half. But the fact is that, many people still think Aqida is the most important issue right now. It’s sad what’s happening
