Could you explain how you trade this? I'm not seeing any advantage of using the gex information over just watching the price action. Thanks.

“price action” is backwards looking. gex profile is forward looking. literally, as in pricing expectations of volatility. practically, as in mapping out entries and targets. bid/offer against long gamma (cyan), stop behind the node, target next long gamma node for trim or flatten

@jayurbain but this video you posted, where are the setups ahead of time and trade them with a simple strategy that this tool enables? that’s what they’re asking. you kinda started to give an answer but specific trades ahead of time here would help.

@thegexbot @jayurbain I do and honestly that’s the only real value I’ve found out of gexbot. And using price action around those levels is how I look for entries. There’s just a real lack of concrete strategies when you ask for examples from them. they should be able to articulate and show real trades

It seems the delay / lag is just a bit too severe for this. Altho the true delay is maybe 2 seconds at best (which is great in actual steam terms) But the risk management on premium in 1 second is bonkersly hard to do.

not sure what you mean. the long gamma nodes are not flashing in and out at a sub-second rate. e.g. the 090s long gamma node at NQ persisted long enough for multiple short entry attempts. 880's is still on the profile and capping a full V.

yeah, we don't recommend that. particularly on a day like this. if you've ever watched 0dte intraday skew on a tick basis, real-time, you'd know that attempting this is like sticking your hand in a woodchipper.

Oh yea, these mfs at times revamp the whole order book depth on one market order of 8-10 cons on per tick, or so. Brutal out there, and always need perfect tuning to reconstruct the book depth in isolation to gather true fixed vol and country party risk measure skew shift
