Part of what's driving the Trump Admin's attacks on NOAA is they want to privatize the National Weather Service. They made it clear in Project 2025 — instead of weather forecasts & climate data being a public good, they want to sell it to the highest bidder. A corrupt bargain.

From the Tidal Basin looking toward the Jefferson Memorial, conditions are calm this morning, but a dangerous line of severe storms is expected to sweep through later today.
