It ‘reminded’ the natives that they are being ruled by a power that even Hindu gods cannot stop. Such #mosques reminded the natives about their helplessness. This is how the invader broke the will of the natives. The visual was humiliating for the Hindus and empowering for the #Muslims. The intrinsic power relation in society is reflected in such re-configurations.
