This type of ceramic was being produced in Abeokuta ,Nigeria in the 60s to 90s until some people started flooding the market with cheap Chinese goods , after 30yrs of importation ,the Chinese too are coming to manufacture in the country !

There are a couple of companies manufacturing sanitary ware and ceramic tiles in Nigeria like CDK, Virony, Royal etc

I think such a company was set up at Ikare in Ondo state. But they were driven out by Fulani herdsmen.
