When you are in self, you are in the devil.

“When you are in self, you are in the devil.” Selfishness and pride, the devil’s favorite tools. They separate you from God, from your family, and from your purpose. The devil whispers that you are all that matters, that the world should revolve around your desires, your ego, your power. It’s a seductive lie, and it leads to isolation, emptiness, and destruction. But God calls us to the opposite, to humility, to love, to serve. ‘Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant.’ (Matthew 20:26) When you step out of self and align with God’s will, that’s when you find true freedom. The devil’s greatest fear is a people united in God, rejecting the ego and choosing righteousness. So, who do you follow, yourself or the Creator? The answer determines not just your life but your eternity.

Russell…one of the most impressive parts of your walk so far has been listening to you give back the scriptures you’ve been reading. Many professing Christians have not even read the gospels..HAVE NOT READ THE GOSPELS. But you have been giving bread back, great on you. “Do not rejoice that the demons are subject to you; rather, rejoice that your names are written in the Book Of Life.” No matter the mission, or the different journey any of them were on…the goal is eternal life! Getting back home! And bringing as many back with us. Give God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ glory, honor, and praise!

100% when I was focused on myself, there was no room for anyone, especially Christ. AA and my relationship with Jesus saved me. I am almost seven years sober, and now my thoughts center around others and how I can be of service! My life is infinitely better!!

The enemies to humanity are the world, the flesh, and the devil. All tell you the same thing: be selfish, be prideful, be greedy.

The Devil is accurately described in the Greek texts as "diabolos" which combines the words "through" or "by way of" (dia) and (bolos) which refers to "the fall." It's the fallen-mindset adopted by man when in disobedience against the Spirit of Grace, Adam adopted the knowledge of good and evil and sought to justify himself thereby. Satan (also called "accuser") ruled everyone who rejected Grace's free gift of righteousness and sought to instead establish their own righteousness through their own knowledge of right and wrong, elevating rule-keeping/law-observance over faith/trust in the goodness and unmerited favor of YHWH. Christ disarmed Satan and silenced every accusing spirit by fulfilling and nullifying the Law as a means of attaining right-standing. In short, the most selfish/satanic thing a person could do is to reduce God's willingness to act on your behalf to what your own good deeds (or lack thereof) deserve.
