It’s a decent idea. But part of the management of a game is knowing that you can get players booked to nullify their threat, or wind up a player on a yellow to get them sent off. You don’t want to lose that…

If they have been given 2 yellow cards for kicking chunks out of someone dont give them a free ticket to do it again..

Awful idea 2 yellows = red otherwise you’ll see more tactical fouls

What about the first yellow being a sin bin and the second means you’re off? Players accept a first yellow as if it’s nothing presently so 10 minutes off the pitch might make them think a bit more !

Orange card is needed for this. Yellow cards for genuine fouls, mistimed challenges etc. orange card should be for cynical fouls or consistent offending and red should be for dangerous play or denying a goal.

My view is to introduce a new card for time wasting and talking back to the refs and make it if you get 2 of the new card it's equal a yellow

Teams will manipulate the rule. Football doesn’t need it. It’s not the usa where they have/want their “star players” in play as much as possible

Just make it so it’s not easy to get yellow and red cards. We have over corrected. Just admit it and move on.

Here’s a thought look at @EnglandHockey rules for cards and sin bins: Green, yellow, Red. Also rolling substitutes would also be a good thing for @FootballAssoc to consider

It would have to be for the stupid yellow cards like taking your shirt off while celebrating, throwing the ball away after committing a foul, time wasting etc. It would be taken advantage of if it was for fouls.
