🐶: Recently, I was looking through the photos over the years, and I realized there are so many moments captured. All those photos, were taken by you. Some of you even printed them at home, and some went to photo studios just to get them developed. When I look at those, I don’t think about whether I looked good or bad, or what my face looked like back then. Of course, I’m always so grateful you took them, and when I see them, I can remember exactly when and what song it was from. But more than that, I think about how when it was hot, you still came to see us, and when it was freezing cold, you waited for us to arrive. Even if it was just for a 3 or 10 minute performance, you got on planes, buses, or trains and came all that way, waiting for us no matter the weather. I think about that a lot. how you always arrive before we do, how you get less sleep than we do, how tired you must be, and yet, you spend your time just to see us for a brief moment. I think about how you’ve given us your time, your effort, that you’ve shared part of your life with us. So when I look at those photos, it’s not just, “Ah, that was a nice moment.” Of course, it’s wonderful and I’m grateful, but more than that, I realize you must have gone through so much for us. You must have been tired, sleepless, yet you came to so many places and took so many photos. That’s why every single picture, every single letter I receive, isn’t just a photo or a letter to me, it holds your time, your memories, your moments spent with us. When I think about that, I feel so sorry, and so grateful, truly. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. That’s why I always say, whenever I meet you, it feels like I’ve received homework: “How can I repay all this love I’ve been given?” I spend a lot of time thinking about that. No matter how much we give, it never feels like enough. Even though I’m still lacking in so many ways, you think of me, you love me, and you cheer for me. It makes me think, am I really allowed to be this happy? This 20th anniversary has made me reflect a lot. I kept thinking, “I really need to do well,” and “I want to show everyone my best.” But looking back, I feel like I still have a lot of shortcomings. Thank you so much to everyone who has been with me for the past 20 years. I hope we can be together for the 21st and 22nd anniversaries too. That’s why I’ll take better care of my health, work harder on my music, dance even more passionately, and do my best in every way, so I can repay all of you even more. Everyone, sleep well tonight. Those going out to enjoy Suju Week, dress warmly, eat well, and take good care of yourselves. Thanks to all of you, we’ve reached our 20th anniversary and also, thank you so much for all the birthday wishes. I love you. Good night 💙 #donghae #동해

Its not often Im lost for words, but last night this stopped me in my tracks. Just over 3 years ago my content changed alot when I went sober and I got a lot of stick for my shift in direction. After spending years trying to get back to doing comedy, to suddenly change was terrifying. But, my social media, my characters, my jokes and my content has always been in some way a reflection of my life and my life became a battle for change, I embarked on the most difficult journey of my life, its still a constant struggle, but talking about what drink & drugs were doing to my mental health and my family helped me understand and share what I was going through. Through that process Ive lost friends and family, followers, brand deals, business and I get constant criticism and negative comments when I discuss certain things, it can be triggering and to be honest a bit annoying im sure. But, there is a core group of you that have stuck with me for the comedy and let me talk about mental health, sobriety and the darkness some of us face, and a few of you that are here for the sobriety stuff but put up with my jokes along the way, to all of you thank you…. But.. Every now and then I see a comment, or a message, or at one of my live show’s someone says something like “You saved my life” and it hits me, its worth sharing, its worth the shame, embarrassment and comments, its all been worth it, because every now and then it really helps someone feel like they aren’t alone. And can change. Thank you mate, thank you for telling me that. I needed to hear it. x

If you hate KAT, I suggest you reconsider... "I feel like other than losing a child there's nothing worse you could go through and it builds you up and it strengthens you beyond measure. That's why I got Philippians 4:13 and the date tattooed on my neck. I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me but I was strengthened on April 13 when I lost my mother. That's been my favorite Bible verse my whole entire life since I was little. I didn't know the significance it would have in my life when I became an adult. But what I do know is that I truly can do anything when I walk in faith, when I walk with the angels beside me. I feel anything's possible, I feel nothing's impossible... I'm just grateful to be in this position because I know a lot of friends in mind that are not here to see this moment. I know a lot of people I love tremendously that aren't here to give me that hug or to give me that text message. I'm doing this for them. I do this for them, I do it for my mother's country, I do it for everybody in Dominican Republic, I do it for everyone in the city that welcomed my mother when she immigrated over. I do it for all my family in New Jersey that allowed me to be raised and allowed me to love this game of basketball and allowed me to be a kid with my mother and enjoy those times. It takes a tribe to get here and it takes a village and I'm so blessed that I've had the village I've had in my life to get to this point"
