What I liked about the concept is that it forces, in a period of high romantic intensity, a look at another aspect of the relationship and that's the due diligence on finance. Who are you coupling with? What is their financial background? What is their financial situation? What are their spending habits? Because the stark reality of marriage is you're forming a business. You'll have to support a family and that takes money. And so I love the premise of it.

I know it sounds anti-love, but it's not. It forces you to do due diligence on your potential partner, and you're gonna learn a lot. A prenup is actually all about amore. If you're getting a prenup, it means you're very serious about somebody, and you're thinking about marriage, and maybe getting a family together.

The number one reason for breakups in marriage is not infidelity, it's financial pressure. It's one partner outspending the other. This really matter in the first three years of a marriage, because you can see disastrous outcomes if somebody is a spendaholic and the other is not, and they never discuss this or talked about their financial goals in the first place. The first child you have in a marriage is money. You both have to have separate bank accounts. You should fund a mutual one that pays for mutual expenses, but keep all of your financial structure intact under your own name, and that's very important.

If you go back to Trump's first term and even in the second term, the number of people in the inner circle, it's very volatile. People come, people go. It's kind of like a rotation. You get too close to the sun, your wings melt and you fall out. It's not the end of the free world as we know it. I actually think these two men will get back together again. I know it's salacious, it's really an interesting story, but at the end of the day they both have attributes that the other wants. Elon is a unique individual and Trump is a unique individual. They both have huge egos. They had a bad date. It's like a marriage and they're having a fight. I'm over it already. I think this is noise frankly. I don't think it really matters long-term. They can call each other on their cell phones and work it out and they will.
