When you give kids mobile devices from such an early age, they all become quickly addicted to the algorithm driven dopamine hit. As they get older…..this happens. This Generation is completely cooked.

My kids were raised on electronics and I assure you, they have NEVER acted like this. This isn't electronics, this is bad parenting.

I don’t think this is due to her having an iPad at an early age, my kids had iPads from a young age and they would not carry on this way. This is so called gentle parenting and letting the child rule the house. Also the fact you cannot discipline your children anymore. My head would still be spinning to this day if I ever tried to pull that crap with my mother 😂

I was the same way about my Nintendo 30 years ago. 60 years ago kids were throwing tantrums about their radios. This moral panic about phones and tablets is boring and ridiculous.

Advice for MOM. Take away all her stuff. Remove her bedroom door. Remove all her devices, makeup etc... leave a bed and clothes. She must earn each item back.

Younger generations won't have the ability to produce dopamine naturally. This will cause a MASSIVE dependency on tech, especially social media. IMO this is no different than giving a child heroin when they are young. It conditions their brains to not produce dopamine, relying on external sources to cause the brain to produce it.

Screens are obviously bad for kids- but this is 💯 the parents. Talking like this to my mom would have resulted in a reign of hellfire and brimstone that I shudder to think of now- and Im 44….the results of talking to my dad like this don’t bear thinking of.
