In Abrahamic lore, Satan is reported to often try to counterfeit the Living God—presenting himself as “an angel of light”. The Messiah is known as “The Great Physician”; so it would make sense that Satan would style himself before humanity as their greatest healer. The serpent is also famously the symbol of Satan and his authority over mankind (hence the Pharaohs claiming that symbol for themselves). In Ancient Greek the word for chemical sorcery is pharmakeia (“poison”). People would take substances that were promised to heal, comfort, or improve their lives—but almost always with a side effect or costly outcome. Crazy that we took that word and now use it to describe the most-influential industry in the world. Big Pharma lobbies over DOUBLE what Big Oil does in the federal government. If any one industry is to blame for the world’s suffering, they likely hold first place by a mortifying margin. (Our angels of light.🩺💊) If the throne of Satan is anywhere, my money is that it sits wherever the highest, most-respectable authority over “healthcare” is—together with the people who dwell at the top of the academic-industrial-complex pyramid—the same people who get to influence what medical doctors are allowed to think and say.
