I had the same thought, like... "Pikachu, the MOUSE pokemon" I mean they would be wondering, what is a mouse?

Makes me think of this scene from TLA.

It kinda made sense back then, I mean, Pokemon need to eat too.

In the anime the late Takeshi Shudo mentioned in his blog that their inclusion in the original anime were animation errors and that they don’t exist in the Pokemon universe.

The amount of people who are shocked when I mention this is crazy lol I get why they moved away from this but I ultimately disagree with the decision.

Yeah in a way as a kid it never really understood why they would use it and I stopped questioning it

They stopped adding fake animals also. Now its just animated food, human activities given a persona, and the occasional living toaster machine

I wonder if bacteria and sperm are pokemon now too
