Little four year-old boy had been eating a hamburger at a barbecue and started complaining about intense pain in his ear . The family took him to the ER. They did x-rays found nothing. Of course the pain continued. About 10 days in they take them again to the emergency room where they finally do a CAT scan and they see a 2 cm wire from a wire barbecue brush lodged in his tissue, which had formed an abscess. He was treated after having the wire removed and he was fine, but here’s the thing.. be very careful when you use wire barbecue brushes because the wires can get mixed in with your food and cause stomach obstructions, or something similar to what happened to this little boy.
