That's so true, It took me such long to understand this simple fact that purity seeks purity,honesty seeks honesty,sincerity seeks sincerity. I was seeking something from places where it never existed in the first place. So people acting that way was God's way of protecting me.

Why does this resonate so much? And yet… I have to ask myself: Was I giving nothing? Because what do I have now that I am losing the pure intention I had for them? My intention is misunderstood with my every action, movement, sound, and word. I don’t want to say it is me, because I know the intent of my heart was good. But maybe it is me, because the people in my life always turn that intent around and treat me as if it were the exact opposite.

The people who don’t know how to handle it were never raised properly! How you were raised matters …it is how you show up in the world!

I needed to hear this today. This was on point.
