When you’re at War,you never know when and where the next attack will come from. Opening the hatch without proper observation was a tactical blunder.

Yeah these are movie Germans. The real Germans would have tossed a grenade in and looked afterwards. Even if they hadn't the tank would be extra crispy 5 minutes after the guy was shot off. Hollywood BS like the rest of the flick.

You’re right. That should be the first step.

Firing a panzerfaust at 100 yards and destroying the tank would be reality, but then the movie would end 30 minutes earlier and realistically instead of ending like a bad cartoon.

Why are the Germans portrayed as total retards in each american movie?

He who wins the war lives to tell the narrative.

Complacency is one of the biggest mistakes you can make in a combat zone

They were not prepared

All true but remember the movie is set in 1945. What was left of the German army was barely trained and most were just trying to find an American to surrender to.

You’re right.

Here’s what really happened

Genau, die Deutschen waren alles Idioten, deshalb brauchte es auch die halbe Welt, und fast fünf Jahre, um sie niederzukämpfen. 😉

Calling it a ‘blunder’ is easy from the couch. When your periscopes are trashed and you’re blind, staying buttoned up gets you killed just as fast. Situational awareness wins wars.

We are still saying the same thing, they could have threw a Granada inside the tank.

Another typical Germans are Dumb war movie. LAME.

Good movie till this ridiculous ending.

That is not how a German soldier would check a tank, this is Hollywood slop. I've seen the film (Fury) and it's overrated.

Such BS SS were the best most well trained soldiers… Pure Hollywood

Damn this movie is thrilling

Hollywood is good at creating perceptions and narratives.

this film is sinistro kkkk

While four Hitler Youth members manage to take down a Sherman tank right at the start, an entire battle-hardened SS unit fails to do so. We all know who's behind this Slop Movie.

Hollywood ! 😂

Yes, always look first before you open the hatch. One mistake and you are dead. Stay alert

Mistakes like that, could end it all.

Only tankers know what this weapon is called. Anybody?

@grok what is it called?

@ClydeBandit It's a **tank round** (full cartridge: projectile + casing + propellant) being loaded into the main gun breech. Tankers just call it "the round." Civilians usually say "bullet." Classic loader move in a Sherman or similar.

know your enemy and know yourself, but above all stay buttoned up until you’ve scanned every angle Indeed a top notch

You’re right Watch your angles.

@iam_larrykhing Very true and that’s one mistake that can cost everything. In a combat zone, situational awareness is survival. One careless move or a moment of impatience can expose you to a threat you never saw coming.

lets not forget how dumb and disrespectful this film is to all those men who truly fought in that ghastly war.

consistency is what wins, not hero plays

2014 film Fury showing a US Sherman tank crew in intense WWII combat against German forces, with the caption highlighting war's unpredictability and calling the unobservant hatch opening a tactical blunder.

Un lanzagranadas habría terminado la pelea en 10 segundos, pero el poder del guión es así.

@grok What's that movie?

Probably a REMF

A stupidly impossible scene. A Waffen SS battalion, and not one panzerfaust among them?

USA crap

逼大胡话的瞎几把编
