When you're dumb enough to fall through a trap and find yourself falling into a room of gooey latex balls that start pulling you in hard... The force is too strong... you can't fight it.. The gooey rubber blobs start forming around you... trapping you in a sticky puffy prison~

🦋 you're going through a difficult time? you know, i think there's really this thing where, when something is hard, it really is hard... really hard. but i don't think you should allow yourself to get too stuck in it. i can comfort you through the difficult time, and there's so much people around you who can comfort you too. so don't think you're alone through it and don't dwell in it too much. after all, you were born so precious and beautiful, right?

The most dangerous moment isn't when you're losing. It's when winning convinces you that you can't lose. In Rounders (1998), Mike McDermott outplays Teddy KGB with patience, precision, and a perfect read of his opponent. But there's a psychological trap in a victory like this: success doesn't always satisfy your appetite for risk. Sometimes, it feeds it. You start believing that because you beat the game once, you understand it well enough to beat it every time. Sometimes, your greatest win is the very thing that keeps you from walking away.

Life is uncertain the same way markets are. So, when you learn to hold a stock through a fall you can't explain, without selling in fear, you also learn to hold your life through a season you can't explain, without falling apart. Full video here:

You might actually be a victim. But the second you start seeing yourself as one, the second you start defining yourself as one, and the second you start letting your life, circumstances, and past define you, you’ve lost. Jeremy Boreing continues to be the adult in the room.

You're a squirrel, you walk towards a tree – obviously when you get to the tree you start to climb it. I love that the expected thing worked in Genie 3.

Ego is not always bad. It gives you confidence, push you to work hard, and helps you survive tough times. But when ego gets too strong and controls you, it makes you stick too much to things, compare yourself with others all the time, and start useless fights and problems.

Milton Friedman 🗣️ “Inflation is just like alcoholism. In both cases when you start drinking or when you start printing too much money, the good effects come first. The bad effects only come later.” “That’s why in both cases there is a strong temptation to overdo it: to drink too much and to print too much money.” “When it comes to the cure, it’s the other way around. When you stop drinking or when you stop printing money, the bad effects come first and the good effects only come later.” “That’s why it’s so hard to persist with the cure.”

🚨 ANDREW TATE: AMERICA'S ONLY RESPONSE IS EXCESSIVE FORCE "When you're a bully, and when I say a bully, I don't mean that in a negative term. I mean, when you're the large stack at the poker table, when you're the world's only true superpower that can project force, your answer is force. When you're a bully, and you bully everybody, that works for a certain amount of time. But once people start to stand up to you, your only answer is more force. But once they get into a certain level of force where people deem it unacceptable to tolerate. They no longer fear your last weapon."

"It's actually a law of percentages that applies. It's a law so you can't change it." Professor Tony Vitello breaks down the numbers, probabilities, and percentages that lead to the ups and downs of a baseball season. "Where you start really screwing up the numbers is if you don't believe in yourself."

Jordan Peterson on why you must never give yourself an "easier" task to avoid the hard one: Peterson explains a psychological trap that almost everyone falls into when facing something difficult. "Don't practice what you do not want to become." He describes what happens inside your brain when you're avoiding a hard task: "If you're really sneaky when you're trying to do something hard, what your brain does is give you something else hard to do that's not quite as hard, so that you can feel justified in not doing the thing you're supposed to 'cause you're doing something else useful." This is the trap. You feel productive. You're busy. But you're not doing the thing. And every time you give in, you make it worse: "If you give into that temptation which you often will, then it wins. And because it wins, it gets a little dopamine kick and it grows stronger. Anything you let win the internal argument grows. And anything you let be defeated shrinks, because it's punished." This is Peterson describing neurology: "Those are neurological circuits. You build those things in there. They're not going anywhere. You can build another little machine to inhibit them. That's the best you can do. Once they're in there, you can't get them out." Even the circuits you build to resist the bad habit aren't permanent: "The ones you build to inhibit can be taken out by stress and the old habits will come back up." So what's the actual lesson? Every time you dodge the hard thing, you're casting a vote for the version of yourself that avoids hard things. You're wiring that pattern deeper into your brain.

Cristiano Ronaldo explains how he stays disciplined “I fight against my mind. It’s the big challenge. When you’re not willing to do something but you have to do it” “Our mind is a box of surprises and you have to challenge yourself to be consistent” “Nobody likes to go to the gym every day, of course not. It’s not true but your mental strength comes from that moment, in a hard moment, when you know you should do it” “In the beginning it feels hard to start but when you finish the gym or cold plunge or training, you feel better”
