They used to make real shit way back😭

When you were a kid playing in the house you knew not to bump into it.😂😂

You don’t buy this. God gives it to your grandma. And we’re supposed to keep it

🤣 my mama

My mom's old one... We old and still don't touch shit.

Shit my grandma and my mama had one…wanted to get me one, them bitches a million dollars now 😩😩😩

Bro we all had this? Wtffff Lmaooo we living in a simulation

“who dropped it off?” 😂

Silverwear was like jewelry back then. It was one of the first things a burglar would go for. They were sometimes made with real silver and/or gold. The older, the less plating. You didn't realize it but this is how ya great great grandma would flex on house guest and visitors.

Came with the house I’m sure

Lmao

Ngl there prob enough real Silver in that mf to retire the Grandchildren 😂😂

This is so valid 😂

Could find them at furniture stores, in a catalog, have em custom made, at flea markets, antique and thrift stores, estate sales, etc. Ours just collects random shit now. we used to have it all set up and nice with the China from my wife's grandma on display.

I just had too make sure if my parents had the same one lol That's 20 plus years buddy lol Cherry wood 🔥

And i can promise you, there isn't a grandma in the whole country that had to lift a finger to move one. She always new exactly who to call when it was time to move it. They were made to torture the men in grandma's life.

80's babies already know tha vibes Haverty's, or Helig Myers for starters....

They got it from their grandma. She got it from the plantation owner. Lol, no one ever bought one. You forgot the sofa with the plastic on it that you could not sit on.

They spawned in with our grandparents

In New Orleans it came from Rosenberg’s or Hurwitz Mintz, or Frankie and Johnny’s Furniture store (iconic commercial) lol. We stayed in there. The top sometimes was detachable but you used to buy your furniture assembled and a delivery team secured it 😩

The memories.... of the OFF LIMITS China Cabinet! I cant just hear the warnings and threats now at age 45

The "China Cabinet" is a deep part of Black American history. Given that we were systematically locked out of accumulating wealth...oftentimes the China Cabinet (anf the contents therein) was one of the very few items of value that Black Americans could obtain and pass down generationally. The wise thing to do today if you've inherited Grandma's old China Cabinet is to have it and the contents appraised and insured if they hold value worth thousands of dollars 🙏🏾😌

Bro it was called the Sears catalog you could order full size homes! Literally anything

Kimbrell's, Badcock, Ashley, Sears, JCPenney, Montgomery Ward...

Smh young ppl 🤦🏾♂️🤣 it's a china cabinet. I moved about 100 of these doing moving jobs it comes apart in the middle

Lmao sht just been sitting there😂

Back in the day, SEARS and JC PENNY STORES sold them joints! 🤣🤣🤣

My grandma had one before she passed over 27 years ago. My mom has it in her dining room til this day. That thing is older than all of her kids. 🤣

Truth is what it is!! But we had to clean and shine everything inside it every week!! At Grandma Bug House!!!! SSSSSHHHHHHIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTT

100% Facts. Im 45 and I dont think the one in my grandma house has even been opened in my lifetime

Heavy as F 😂

This is my moms. She tricked my ass into picking up. This shit was slam full of the bullshit. It’s in a bedroom… she doesn’t have anywhere else to put it. She always doing shit like this tho. In the same bedroom she has boxes of crap from Amazon that’s never been opened.

My mama got one right now. Might be the same one lol

This is one of the biggest and longest running furniture trend/scams of all time… Had black people all across the country holding bullshit sacred for generations… Worthless
