What’s amazing is that after the millennium there will be a new heaven & new earth! The former things will be passed away and remembered no more! Just an FYI: The new earth will be much larger than this existing one!

He’s right. That’s the Church of Jesus Christ/LDS/ Mormon doctrine. When you die you go to spirit paradise or spirit prison. That’s where the heaven and hell doctrine came from but it is temporary….. This is a fun study and with SI it’s so amazing to connect all the dots.

His conclusion disagrees with the bible: “For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep. Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16 Here are the two verses regarding the thief on the cross: “And he said to Yeshua, “Master, remember me when You come into Your reign.” And Yeshua said to him, “Truly, I say to you today, you shall be with Me in paradise.” Luke 23:42-43 First, Yeshua (Jesus) has not yet come into His reign, that will happen at the 2nd coming. Many don't understand that Hebrew/Aramaic does not have punctuation like commas. So the thief on the cross statement can be read two very different ways..."today" as in immediately or, and the way that aligns with the bible - that he will be in paradise because he made the decision to believe in the God of Israel that day and when the dead in Christ rise from the dead, as mentioned in the above verse. It seems to me the thief statement by Yeshua is more about the heart coming to the Father right before death and being welcomed. Pastor is guessing and disregarding the above verses.

You’ve got the comma in the wrong place in Luke 23:43. Neither Jesus nor the criminal were in paradise that day.

This is proof that a person can be sincere and kind, and still be utterly wrong in what they are promoting.

What a load of unmitigated rubbish. Not only does the capped-one regurgitate existing biblical bollocks, he invents his own......and the two gullible(s) think he's funny!

Luke 16:26 “The Gulf”. If you are saved you go on one side.. if not you will be on the other “other” side.. mortal and immortal souls until Judgement Day!

First, I don’t think this is a tier 1 issue. But I respectfully disagree. The biblical evidence for a conscious intermediate state is too limited to count it as additional revelation about reality that overturns the ancient understanding of Sheol. It also doesn’t matter that much if we are talking eternal life; any intermediate time will be reduced to a blink of an eye, a magnitude of no significance. For some, intermediate state takes the focus off of the eternal kingdom, and directs believers into metaphysical rabbit holes surrounding the mind body problem. On the cross, he could have meant: “I’m telling you right now, you will be will me in paradise” in which today refers to the present time he is making that statement. I appreciate your explanation of the restoration of earth in the end. But I don’t think it’s fair for you to so easily dismiss the idea of soul sleep.

Yep not the satanic ball and nonsense that are addressed in Genesis and Enoch particularly. The firmament is still there and we live in an enclosed system. Get o I!

The Bible does not say THIS earth will be renewed, the Bible says there will be a NEW earth “For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind.” Isaiah 65:17 NRSVUE

It’s funny in the book of Revelation. Jesus said every mountain is going to be laid low or destroyed that sounds to me like it’s gonna be utterly destroyed so even if it was this earth, it would be a completely different earth but it’s not it’s a whole new earth or no sin had dwell.
