Where has all the colour gone :/
32 Comments

Y all know where 😏

Color has been disappearing from our lives for awhile now. Look at car color trends.

All of the color has gone into Snape.

It’s the meme

It’s all part of the concerted demoralization effort that spans all forms of media and many industries. From architecture to logos, it’s been designed to do the opposite of uplift. Keep your head up. In the end we win.

Harry Potter is now a psychological thriller, didnt ya get the memo?

Where did all the colour go? Everything feels so dull now.

All the ink was used for snape

The entire point of the color in the earlier movies is a narrative device to represent how warm and welcoming Hogwarts feels for Harry, whose entire life with his Aunt is grey and dull. But no, let’s just throw all that shit away. Why are we afraid of color?

Here, he absorbed all the colour.

Why are they even remaking it? The original is very good.

Why colours are so dim and dark, dull ? It's makes movies lifeless.

i think they forgot that the colors go darker with the progression of the story. colorful in philosopher's stone, darkening in deathly hallows.

Into the casting of Snape…

LED lights and politically masterbatory writing are the death spiral of cinema. Make movies great again.

Remember all those awesome black & white movies? This is NOT the way to recapture their magic.

Here's a coloured.

Our take!

Things are getting ugly: Cars, clothes, movie quality... The next generation is super cooked.

World is becoming colourless in the name of "Aesthetic" 😷

Why did this need to be redone?

poco a poco volvemos a la época del blanco y negro

Who knows...

all of the harry potter movies past the first two had basically the same color grading

That’s the world they are pushing on everyone, colourless, soulless. Don’t watch this shit.

Here's a quick clamp on rec2020 down to rec709 and gamma 2.6

Looks more likes Game of thrones academy rather than the wizarding world. Doesnt feel the magic at all

Still brighter than the Deathly Hallows movies. It’s a sad reality of contemporary film and tv production: the over-the-top colour grading is bloody awful.

They've added colored people to compensate.

Start firing are the incompetent directors. Fuck they ruin everything

They film in front of large shitty screens instead of pay people to make proper sets now. To make them seem convincing they clam the color palate so everything looks fake and bland.

The 2026 version looks like someone applied a sad winter morning to the entire wizarding world.
