Abedi was jailed for life with a minimum of 55 years in prison after being convicted of murdering 22 people in the 2017 attack carried out by his brother, Salman. Katy Rickitt reports.

With 1,700 prisoners celebrating their release across the country and thanking Keir Starmer for getting them out, yesterday I asked the Justice Secretary if she was still pressing ahead with Labour plans to cut 5,500 prison places. I hope that the Ten-Year Capacity Strategy promised reverses the awful decision by this Government to release thousands of criminals out onto our streets.

Problem The Nightingale hospitals were supposed to provide thousands of extra beds and around 380 COVID patients were treated in them hospitals because there simply weren’t enough staff to run them!! Lol And now Reform wants to magically create 12,000 prison places in 12 months when the prison service is already understaffed!!!! Disney book politics. Reform making a mockery of serious politics.
