Where's the lie?

real ones know that re4r stole the throwable arc from horizon zero dawn which stole it from mgsv which stole it from mad max which stole it from tlou which stole it from uncharted 2 which stole it from gears of war which stole it from the og re4

It’s certainly an apt comparison if your sole reference for these games were YouTube playthroughs.

God forbid they remade a game Thats almost like A remakes job

It's almost as if it didn't need one

It definitely did I know you oldheads wont admit it but the old game controls like ass and has corny VA work to most people under 21 Is what it is

@DrakeVagabond Uh no It controls great Holy larp

@DrakeVagabond You might have a problem gang no lie In no realm do you gotta stand still to turn around

guy who thinks every non-classical zombie game is the last of us

You thought really hard about that one im sure

If you actually knew a bit more about the franchise you’d know that all of these mechanics existed in RE Revelations 2. RE4R takes inspiration from Rev2 if anything.

Is RE4R not fun though? I’ve played it 5 times now. But tbh I see it a logical game design. Why wouldn’t Leon do stealth kills if he could? Why not have multiple weapon slots instead of going to pause menu like OG? People complain just to complain for content.

A. Resident Evil 6 had Stealth nearly a full year before The Last of Us released. B. The D-Pad weapon menu has been in so many games besides the Last of Us. Have you ever Dead Space? Fallout 3 or New Vegas? All three of these games predate TLOU. This video is ALL lies.

“It really is the last of us.” *shows parasite ganado following you and lunging because it can see you* You’re all a bunch of inbred slack jaw cunts jfc. I think RE4R is a 7/10 but I don’t fucking lie on the game to prove a fakeass point that doesn’t exist. Just neck already

The parasites having a clicking sound effect has been in the games since 4 and 5. 5 was the first time I noticed they almost had a rattle snake effect as well. It's a mixed bag where RE4RE did feel TLOU inspired sometimes, but the remake isn't disingenuous either

Yeah because you never play videogames lol

Tlou invented gaming as a whole, there, case closed gentleman's

And how does that affect the Remake negatively? Games has always been borrowing ideas from each other.

Played around 60 hours of RE4R and just discovered it has stealth kills

The funniest thing anout this is that all of that can be found in the first TLOU already, but that is the one the people like so I'll just say it's the second one because "muh bad game inspiration".

This is so dishonest 1. The dpad weapon swapping is just logical game design that’s been in resident evil since re7 (before tlou 2 came out) 2. There are no clickers (blind enemies that use sound) in re4. 3. There are no mandatory stealth sections in re4, it’s always optional

Fanboys will never acknowledge how remake4 is the way it is because of external influences rather than genuine game design decisions.

Stealth kills and a dpad quick select are not from the last of us you fucking moron that dpad weapon selection has been around almost as long as 4 itself has

the last of us invented sneaking, stabbing and dodging, before that nobody knew what those were.

Brother seriously, the throwable arc? You think TLOU invented that? This is like me putting Halo side by side with half life, showing them both shooting an assault rifle and throwing a grenade, and saying "look see, same game"

The is so cherrypicked lol. Like the bit were Abby dodges with the games dedicated dodge button, then cut to Leon doing a quicktime event dedicated to that specific enemy type and that specific attack. But only people that actually both games would know the clear difference.

Stealth mechanics, throwing arcs, and a weapon selection grid? RE6 and Revelations 2 did those as well. Enemies with hammers, like the Ironheads from Revelations 2? Oh the desnucados do clicky sounds, do you even understand what the Plagas even are and what RE games had them?

“Stealth sections” If you are stealthing in resi 4 re you might need to go to a doctor

lol - You stealth kill 5 enemies in Re4Remake - 0 stealth missions and you’re forced to stealth kill ONE enemy. Video proves nothing - played both games - they feel completely different.

TLOU doesnt have parrys

This is a fucking stupid ass argument.

never played the game award

always will remember electric underground for unironically admitting to skipping cutscenes in video games because he doesn’t care about stories.

These are literally nothingburger complaints, lol. Come on now nigga's just whining because he wants to.

The clips shown are not the same. The stealth section makes more sense in RE4 due to the nature of the enemies. Dodging the hammer uses QuickTime event like evade vs TLOU using a dedicated dodge button The clicker section is just false. The RE4 enemy has eyes

Animation and UI elements that match up yet still offer completely different experiences

Oh yes. Definitely the same. I remembered a mechanic where in TLOU u can stun shoot a zombie specific limbs and u can perform a special melee like Joel suplex a clicker after shooting their knees, or actually in RE4 u can definitely distract zombies by throwing eggs to make sound

You JoJo fans laugh at the same jokes for over 10 years. Nobody expects y'all to see the connection here.
