Whether or not you agree with this call, it was certainly controversial and haunts me to this day. The refs were letting them play the entire game and we saw missed calls earlier in the game on the Eagles. A lot of folks thought it was a terrible call... show more

Paul Reed on last play of regulation: "He got tripped. They didn’t call it. Referees don’t call a lot of calls, so it’s not like that’s the make-or-break call to win or lose the game. “It was just another play that the refs missed. They miss a lot of calls, so it’s nothing new."

Eagles coach Coach Rasool on Maxx Crosby and Brock Bowers : "It would be hard to tell the difference between them in practice and in a game. It looks the same. It always looked like the fourth quarter. Or the first snap of the game. Or the game-winning play. Max wanted to win at everything he did. He could be playing pool, a video game, cards and you'd have thought it was to break a record in the NFL. You'd have thought it was to go to the Super Bowl."

Brock Purdy on his favorite play in his career: “It was the game before the NFCCG against the Packers. We didn’t play the best on offense, but we needed this drive at the end of the game to go up. It was a 3rd down play and it was Brandon Aiyuk over the middle. We call it Gucci. It was a 6 step slant, cross the nickel’s face. It was man to man coverage, and it was on time. I threw it on plant, BA turned at the right time. It was tight coverage. DB reached across. We got the ball there and it was a diving catch. I was like 'Bro', boom we get the first down. We’re staying on the field. From there we won the game. We won the NFC Championship game after that. We got to the Super Bowl, but it was that play. If that play didn’t happen, getting to the NFCCG and the Super Bowl wouldn’t have happened… Those are the things I remember. I love that stuff. I live for it.” 🎥: Richard Sherman

THIS PLAY CHANGED THE ENTIRE #NFL SEASON: If this call went in the #Rams way… they likely would have won the Super Bowl instead of the #Seahawks. This was one of the most controversial calls of the season and completely changed the entire season. 😱

The #Eagles, and you honestly have to admit, were fortunate to win the game against the #LARams. The Eagles blocked two field goals and the final one was at the end of the game, which turned a loss into a win, combined with the fact that #JordanDavis picked it up and ran it for a touchdown to end the game. As an aside, it was a big play for the betters in changing the outcome because Davis didn’t just fall on the ball- he scored a touchdown

This was the most concerning play of the day. 3rd down with the game on the line and you have a shot play against single high. Burrow doesn't even give it a chance. Panics and lowers his eyes at a non existent rush. OL was fine this was the perfect play call. 🔊

Was Caitlin Clark fouled on the final play of the Liberty-Fever game? She certainly thought so and was angry at the no-call. 🏀 #WNBA

Ebro speaks on people complaining about Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance “This is about a black experience and not putting black culture on as a costume, but actually leaning in and making sure that this hip hop thing is centered in black culture and centered in purpose… then for your brain to go ‘he didn't play enough hits’ that was the point of the whole thing, that I'm not gonna play this game the way everyone usually plays this game or the way maybe you guys want me to play the game or the way I'm expected to play the game in this halftime moment”

Jaylen Brown on the missed call: “You can't have a mistake like that — as an official at that point in the game, fourth quarter, minute left in the game or less, and the whole staff blows the fucking call, costs us a game. It’s unacceptable.”

The last time we saw an opening like this, you had to be sitting in front of the TV watching it live. No apps. No 500 channels and certainly no endless streaming options. Michael Jordan, David Robinson, and Magic Johnson were the faces of the league, and when a game was on national television it felt like a true event. Everyone tuned in at the same time or you missed it. 🏀📺

Thought this was telling from Russell Wilson. He mentioned there has "been a lot of noise." So ... "This game meant a lot to me. It was time to answer the call." 450 yards and 3 TDs later:

This was an omen. When USC kicker Parker Lewis was disqualified on a weak targeting call that got him disqualified for the rest of the game on the very first play of the game. We know how this game ended.

“He was kind of the first guy that I ever saw during a captain’s practice going 110mph, finishing checks, and it was very eye opening for me as a young guy. I’m like oh ok this is what it takes to win.” Whether it was practice or game, when the puck dropped the game was on for Claude Lemieux.

Kenny Dillingham's in-depth explanation behind ASU's play call on Mississippi State's game-winning touchdown: "3rd and 8, 40 seconds, no timeouts, one sack wins the game... It's harder to play a game on the road in OT in that environment... You're playing to win. So if you have a call that wins the game, you call it. We called it. It didn't work. You lose... Were we expecting it to give up a touchdown? Definitely not. We were actually calling it for them to take a shot... When it doesn't work, it sucks. It's not nearly as fun as when it works."
