Phantasy star 3 for me. Just think I was making 4 dollars an hour then and paid 70 dollars fir that game. Adjusted roughly 240 in todays dollars. The graphics were amazing at the time and still to this day its one of a kind. In the end you choose who you marry and play as the kid

Tough. SNES mode 7 was amazing for a number of games. But all 3 sonic games looked great and thunder force 3 and 4 looked really good. Everyone forgets virtual racing on megadrive, pushed 16 bit to the limit with SVP chip to replicate model 1 arcade hardware.

Vectorman a Sega Genesis 1 and 2 are really good looking games at the time

For me, I'd point to Donkey Kong Country 🍌 (all three) and Mario RPG. All beautiful, with real visual punch. Super Metroid too now that I'm thinking 🤔
