Which Dodger legend do you recognize as the franchise's top all-time lefty starter: Sandy Koufax or Clayton Kershaw?

It doesn’t matter. They’re both legends. Show me a team that has two greater LHPs than the Dodgers.

Depends how important the game is…

Sandy Koufax

Koufax. Postseason resume is better.

Sorry but it’s not close. Clayton is a great pitcher and a 1st ballot HOF but who you pitching in Game 7 of the World Series?

Kershaw. His ERA+ is 26 points better than Koufax. The only reason we’re having this conversation is because of Kershaw’s lack of postseason success

Koufax is undeniably the best, particularly his stunning playoff performances, even carrying a less than stellar team all the way in 65. Look at the shutouts and CGs. However, Kershaw’s unhittable regular season career puts him in some elite all time company.

Koufax with any hesitation.

Koufax completed 45% of the games he started (many with intense pain) while Kershaw completed only 7% of his starts. Basically Sandy was his own closer.

Koufax because he dominated no matter the circumstance. Kershaw was better in the regular season but not in WS or any time during the playoffs. Evertime koufax pitched in the playoffs it was a world series.
