Which ending felt right for Goob? ❤️

@General_Zuru Lewis waking him up is better. It was his fault for keeping him up in the first place and he learns through the movie that that one act sent Goob down a dark path

@General_Zuru Definitely the one they went with. It felt more impactful that Lewis would be the one who helps Goob showing that he still cares.

@General_Zuru I’d say the first one, it’s so that Goob never became a villain in the first place. Although the second one is nice too since he changed his own fate.

@General_Zuru The first one felt more like Lewis correcting his fuck up, but the second one is oddly a coming to terms a bit on the wordy side though. So will the current future Goob cease to exist or change into a good future version?

@General_Zuru The first ending makes more sense, the second has me saying to myself “So no one noticed the floating Time Machine when they ran over to Goob?”

@General_Zuru I like the first one. It shows that Lewis wasn't just thinking about himself like he kinda was for the movie. He had his own future to get, but also wanted to make sure his friend got one too.

@General_Zuru I like the alternate ending more but I think they scrapped it because it was technically a time paradox

@General_Zuru The oficial, the second feel he being condensed by himself, to cheesey, but the oficial feel betrer, its "Cornelius" realizing that he did bad, not intentional but did and decided to repair his error

@General_Zuru I watched that movie when it came out, I have the DVD, i just played it, that alternative ending? is the default ending? the other one was the alternative ending....

@General_Zuru El primero es el mejor para ambos personajes. Lewis corrije su error al ayudar a Goob y probablemente salvar su futuro. Mientras tanto, el Goob del futuro mantiene su propio arco donde por decisión propia aprende a dejar el pasado atrás y seguir adelante.

@General_Zuru I like the first one more. It showed Lewis fixing his mistake and I feel the latter mildly undoes future Goob’s really perfect ending by having him fix his past rather than accept it and choose to move forward.

@General_Zuru Truly one of my favorite movies. The time travel gets a little messy with its implications. But its heart is really in the good place. Also.-

@General_Zuru The first one. Second one wrap things up too fast. And seeing Adult Goob walking away wondering what he could do next speaks volumes than him jumping out of the way. Also why shouldn't Lewis wake him up? He is responsible for Lewis sleep deprived state so it make sense to fix it.

@General_Zuru if himself woke him up technically he'd vanish in that moment

@General_Zuru I feel like it was more fitting for Lewis to decide to put things right for Goob. He didn't have to do it or be moved to do it. But he felt so bad he indirectly contributed to Goob's demise, he could go back and put it right himself. It fits better that Lewis returns

@General_Zuru I like both, but I understand why they went with the one that they sent out

@General_Zuru I think Lewis fixing his mistake hits better

@General_Zuru goob saving goob felt more heart warming but Lewis doing it showed that he learned from this and made the right changes

@General_Zuru Man, both are great. Goob felt like Luis made him lose the game. Og ending made Luis fix his unintended mistake. While alternate ending made Goob fix it himself.

@General_Zuru I love this movie, but I always hated this part. So the movie is all about moving on from the past, but they go ahead and change the antagonists past? Went completely against the whole point of the movie.

@General_Zuru I didn't know about the alt Goob ending. Same result but shows how misplaced anger blinds someone to how they can fix their life.

@General_Zuru It's more genuine if it comes from Lewis than from Goob himself and would kind of contradict the message of the movie of keep moving forwards

@General_Zuru Both versions definitely have their merits, but I'm glad that the movie ultimately went with Lewis being the one to wake up Goob. Because Lewis was the one who caused Goob to be so exhausted before the big game, he took responsibility to wake Goob up to help him win.

@General_Zuru The alternative one is better because it was realistic sad to see him walk away knowing not know what else to do with his life that was just sad

@General_Zuru I still can't believe we were robbed from this alternate ending. It added closure to Goob's hatred towards Lewis. Should've been the canon ending.

@General_Zuru I always thought the actual ending was better. Lewis being the one to wake Goob up was like taking accountability and making up for keeping him up all those nights.
