Which is better?

The high pitch voice of the Japanese is just off putting. I’ll never watch dragon ball on sub

Let’s all be real here…dragon ball just sounds so much better in English, because I ain’t having Goku sound like a child screaming when he’s raging.

Dub. Nozawa is fine, and has always delivered when she came up to plate. But Schemmel's roars when he powers up actually make me feel like that's a warrior who gonna beat my ass. Nozawa's pitch is too high for adult Goku imo.

Sean Schemmel has been killing it as Goku for decades!

To me it's unfair to see either as better. Do I prefer Sean Schemmel's? Absolutely because when I see the dub that's Goku for me. I feel like that's what is being conveyed and Sean just is on another level of most voice actors. However, voice acting in English and voice acting in Japanese are two different things. It's not even the same thing and cannot be compared. For people who don't watch japanese it can feel off putting and for people who don't watch english I'm sure that's exactly how the sub viewers see it. I guess, I've changed my stance. I used to think Sean's was better but that just feels like a close-minded viewpoint. I don't watch subs so I cant really speak on it. Nozawa is incredible for the japanese voice acting and I think Sean is incredible for the english. I do think more DB fans should be supporting all types of DB media instead of pitting everyone against eachother. You have a world where One Piece and these other anime's are being pushed more, DB fans gotta stick together haha
