Candace Owens has mentioned before that she has “people” who live in Charlie Kirk’s building that are watching and listening to everything Erika Kirk does. But listen to what she said today. It sounds to me like she’s basically saying she had these “people” watching Charlie and Erika before he was killed. Nomy lost her mother when she was just 11 years old. Her mum was a single mum and the only parent that she knew. Experiencing grief at such a young age is not something that is easy to navigate, in fact you never fully heal from it. This is why she keeps to herself because she has had to navigate this world on her own. She has had disagreements with housemates and she has never insulted anyone so passionately. So Jess admitted this morning that I was right about how her departure from Twitter went down. Which is cool and all but it’s the other stuff that she said during her admission that caught my attention. Because it really sounds like she’s finally admitting that she does not now nor has she ever had any evidence that Baker is all of the horrible things that she claimed he is. She’s so right here. So right. People do not want a return to how things used to be. They want something better. I just wish she could condense what she said here in a minute and 30 seconds into 20 seconds or 30 seconds or 40 seconds, so people don’t tune out. She is so thoughtful and so deliberative in everything she says that she loses people in trying to make her point. I think this is why so many accuse her of this “word salad” nonsense. It’s not because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, it’s because her prosecutor mind weighs the weight of every single word as she’s delivering a point. I don’t know how she retrains herself, but in this ecosystem she has to be able to just deliver the line, the thought, in a way that is concise. Like it or not, people have no attention span anymore.
