Mhlabuyalingana koManguzi,KwaTembe. AbeZulu laba over the border in Mozambique and Swatini. I'm not used to some of the words but I just somehow understand them clearly

It’s quite an interesting dialect, it’s the first time I hear it

@GuqaNyamazane I was so confused the first time i heard it on tiktok also hk found it funny im sure nabo they find the way we speak funny

@GuqaNyamazane That’s true it’s very possible 😂 they think Singama kwerekwere 😩😩

Isithonga lesi mostly spoken by the people from manguzi , mbazwana

It’s interesting, so do you guys understand all the words or sometimes you also get confused?

The thing is when they are around people who doesn't speak like them They try to speak isizulu that is spoken by people from empangeni going to hluhluwe but I don't think I would understand them if I were to stay Kwamhlabuyalingana coz it would be deep.

@mr_shimmy South Africa is huge . . . this is like what Khilobedu is to isiPedi - same same but different here & there

@bhunu_khathi Khilobedu is a mixture of Pedi and Tshivenda so is what is that isiZulu mixed with?

Zulu spoken in Manguzi, visited there once, never in my life have I felt like a foreigner in South Africa the way I did when I was in Manguzi I'm Zulu, I've been 2 Limpop, FS, NC.. But I had heard XiTsonga, Tawana, Venda spoken in TV before First time I was hearing that Zulu 🤯

😂😂😂 you were also confused?

Bruuuhh my mind was blown wide open, wide open! The whole weekend I was wondering where tf I am, what language is this that spoken here. I couldn't wrap my head around it being another Zulu dialect. I know about 6 or 7 variations of Zulu, but that one u can't understand a word 😭

@mr_shimmy 😂😂 Have you met anyone from there outside the area after the experience?

@mr_shimmy never bru... Surprisinglywhen I was doing my internship I worked a lot in the financial aid office at the institution at which I studied... That's when I first got to know that there's a place called Manguzi, seeing the addresses on the forms, they didn't speak what I found there

@mr_shimmy This sounds like some untouched isolated group of people, fascinating.

@mr_shimmy Bro!

Mixed with swati and ndebele 🤔

Apparently it’s called isiThonga spoken mostly in the north of KzN

@holyash21 Whoever said that Lied😭

@holyash21 People on the comments are agreeing with it

Iphutha lika Soshangane leli, really hope the new shaka ilembe dives in on how the Zulu's and shangane's are related.

It would be very educational they really should

Premium zulu this one

Top class 😂😂😂 can you speak it ?

Tsonga, upwards north of KZN toward Mozambique, but mostly spoken in Manguza

I see thank you it’s an interesting dialect

Abantu bakithi impela laba balapha eManguzu KwaMhlabuyalingana close to Mozambique

It’s the first time I hear this dialect

Zim ad in the 90's.

Ok and?

They sound like Mozambicans. This is how Mozambicans sound when they speak Siswati.

Then it’s a mixture of Tsonga and isiZulu

Amashangane by the Mozambique border into Manguzi.

But this isn’t shangane

AmaShangane akhulumayo, not Tsonga.

This is Zulubedu! They are the cousins of Queen mojaji

😂😂😂😂

IsiZulu saseManguzi

Manguzi is north of KZN right ?

Northeastern under uMkhanyakude

Just checked it out I’ve been near that place when I went to Kosi Bay, so since they border Moz can we say there is some influence of that in their language?

The problem is that Moz people speak Tsonga and Portuguese mostly but Manguzi people speak something way different 😂😂😂😂😂

Tsonga is Nguni so maybe that can have some influence… Portuguese I understand it’s way different

Must be abantu baka Mhlabuyalingana

Yes it is 😅

A bit of Zim there

Not even this people are from umhlabauyalingana

Haibo what, I have never heard such esp from SA

They say it’s called isiThonga

Entlek labantu base manguzi bahle mahn

😂😂😂

I heard a bit of Xitsonga there. "Ku kukutlela"

So this dialect is a mixture of Tsonga and Zulu because they are closer to the Moz border I think my theory is right

I believe so even though many of them have Vatsonga surnames.

It's called Isithonga, Spoken by Zulu people close to the Mozambique border.

This is our language. Mhlabuyalingana

Fact that a lot don’t know that the 9 languages are not our only languages and in fact their elevation is oppression of others is crazy😂 The level of illiteracy and n SA should be a thesis and archived in Wits.

This is Zimbabwe straight, Rhodesians to be specific

They come from Maputo

They’re from KwaMhlabuyalingana, that’s how they talk.

Isithonga lesi. Go to Ndumo, mbazwana and Manguzi you’ll hear this accent

Khweba - seep Kukutlela- drink fast Mixture of Tsonga and isizulu or iswati. I'm from komatipoort in mpumalanga and we also use this type of dialect

IsiZulu sase Mozambique lesi 😄😄 ungahleka uze ulale mawuzwa o Da Silva besikhuluma. 🤭 Siyajwayereka sona.

This has be eJozini no doubt

Abo zwirise

Is it not the Zim ndebeles old Zulu clan that left with mzilikazi

Manguzi village

Was actually in that area the past few days where such a dialect is spoken.

Amathonga mnewethu basenhla nezwe lakwaZulu,, ugcina sewubaqonda uba sewujwayele.. ezinye zizizwe ezazimele ngaphambi kokuba ilembe lihlanganise izizwana zibe isizwe

😂🤣🤣

🤣🤣🤣

Heeban so there is a another version of isizulu?

First time I hear this I was really shocked

Manguzi, hayi😒
