if all we know is this perspective, Y will never empty all the way on it's own. X is cone shaped on the bottom.

Mais massa no topo, gera maior pressão, entao X esvazia mais rápido

Technically X. Hydrostatic pressure depends on height, and X lower the height of the water slower than Y when discharging. So X can maintain a higher pressure at the valve for longer, thus increasing the discharge rate.

I believe X will have more pressure at the top and empty faster..

Both empty same time 😂

X has more airflow and should beat y.

Well I’d say X due to weight distribution, the water will be forced out of X faster than Y, assuming both are opened fully

They will empty the same due to the discharge pipe size.

Both at the same time, the pressure water flows depends on how much liquid is directly above de valve, like an imaginary column of water, since waters can't be compressed the pressure from the water adjacent to this column is irrelevant, basically all that maters is hight

Tank x it’s all about surface area (on top) because of atmospheric pressure

Tank X. The pressure at the pipe is determined by the height of the liquid. The wide top tank maintains its height more than Y as is drains, maintaining higher pressure, and therefore draining faster. That’s the basic intuitive explanation without any math.

Both have the same amount of pressure at the bottom. They both empty at the same time

Around the same time, there is a practical terminal flow rate limit on the spout regardless of increase in pressure, the frictional resistance and structural limitations mean pressure increases impact flow non linearly at a certain point and the pressure diff is marginal anyway.
