On my way to Giga Berlin, I stopped at the VW “Transparent Factory” which served as a car factory and is now an exhibition space in Dresden, Germany. This facility was designed by architect Gunter Henn of the Henn GmbH firm and it originally opened in 2002 and produced the Volkswagen Phaeton until 2016. In 2017, it produced the electric version of the Golf. Recently, the ID.3 was the last car produced in this factory from January 2021 until the factory's closure in December 2025. This is open to the public, they provide some tours and it showcases some of the manufacturing processes, prototypes, battery and undercarriage mockups and even serves as a delivery center for customers. For me, it is a great way to get ready to view Giga Berlin tomorrow and serves as a reference point for the processes, technology, manufacturing techniques and factory design used by Tesla at Giga Texas, Giga Berlin and their other factories in China and the US. Some years ago, we in Britain invented a disease. Its symptoms were a combination of stagnation, inflation, financial problems, labour troubles and loss of confidence. They called it “British disease”. A Canadian commentator, Goldwin Smith, provided an excellent clinical definition of the malady nearly a hundred years ago. He spoke of countries that were rich by nature and poor by policy. Today, many of us in the developed world realise that in varying degrees we have quite needlessly been poor by policy. But we have come a long way since the days when people thought that you could spend and borrow your way to prosperity; that you needed a budget deficit and a bit of inflation to get economic growth. Now, it is understood that the government's role is to keep downward pressure on inflation and to create a sound financial and legal framework in which enterprise can flourish. We have learned that it is not governments which create wealth but people, provided we have policies which encourage them to do it. We have also got away from the debilitating concept of the all-powerful state which takes too much from you to do too much for you, constantly substituting the politicians' view of what the people should have for the people's own view of what they want.

JUST IN: The girl who did a video about how Pent Hostel has a poor facilities and paying 25k for such a room, the girl has been called by the Pent Hostel heads to take down the video and asked her to do new one. Check second frame, you could see a lot of things had been said which made this girl panic and you can tell from her voice. The new version of this video was to go in favor of the Pent Hostel heads. What was promised in the letter for the increment of fees was not met not till now. Pent still have rusted fridges and disorganized washroom till now as I speak. The cow-worshipping converted tribals of Jharkhand: Look how missionaries have fooled the tribals. These people from the Kharia tribe have a tradition of worshipping the cow. The worship has a folklore attached to it, according to which, when the tribes were drowning in the waters of the Soan river, the cow saved them by helping them cross the river while they held her tail. Since that day, they consider her Lakshmi and their saviour, the god. Anyone who kills a cow by hitting her gets punished by the community; they boycott the person for 11 days, after which the person needs to undergo a Shuddhi process. This process involves bathing with turmeric water and shaving of the head. What used to be a traditional tribal practice now involves a Church add-on with holy water being added to this turmeric water; they call it "Ashish Pani". With this small tweaking, the frauds took control of the whole community and its practice! They also worship the cow on Deepawali. Will share the story in another tweet.
