Today in the Chamber, I gave the SNP a lesson about distinguishing between legal and illegal immigration. While legal immigration has many benefits, illegal immigration comes with many costs. We see people, predominantly adult men, arriving to our shores in small boats, lorries and other illegal methods. At a time when Scotland is experiencing a housing emergency, the SNP are forcing hard-working taxpayers to pay millions to house these migrants. The SNP are simply not living in the real world.

VCK cadres of Cuddalore Dt have blocked a train as a protest against the Home Minister Amitsha's hate speech on Dr.Ambedkar in the Parliament while criticising Congress. He made many more allegations against AICC that they are anti Ambedkar. But he insulted Dr.Ambedkar through his speech. Democrats and Republicans have divided our country in service of their corporate donors for far too long. On this 250th anniversary of America, let us remember 1619. Let us reject the ways in which we have been segregated by neighborhoods and ideas, and let us unite across our beautiful differences to build a better world. Those who yearn for power will push hate and fear and seek to colonize and consume. But we, as people of conscience, as the working class, will come together in love to build something extraordinary. Our collective humanity is more powerful than anything they stack against us. Let’s build this better world together!

The issue here is that our brother should not have been spending his money at that establishment in the first place. Black Americans are our OWN biggest problem. Too many of us have a serious issue with accountability. These boys acting like this? That’s on the parents. It’s not on white people. It’s not on the system. It’s not on racism. It’s on parents NOT doing their job. We want nice things in our communities, then turn around and destroy the very businesses that could provide them. We act reckless, lack emotional control, become destructive and then complain that our communities aren’t thriving. We do all of this while pointing our fingers at everyone and everything but ourselves. Black Americans are our own biggest problem.

Republican Socialist activists in Belfast have taken direct action at a vacant property in Beechmount, currently being advertised by UPS at £900 a month for a three bedroom house, almost £500 above LHA rates. This profiteering drives gentrification, forcing working class families with deep generational ties out of their own communities. We have made it clear that if landlords continue to exploit the housing crisis and bleed working class areas for profit, we will escalate our response. Some may call this extreme, but when politicians, many of them landlords themselves, refuse to act, direct action becomes the only defence against those who thrive on systematic poverty. Republican Socialists will not stand idle while our communities are sold off for greed. Drop the rents. Defend our communities.

Last summer’s concerts in Golden Gate Park gave our city a huge economic boost. A new report found that they brought $193.1 million in economic impact to San Francisco, and $110.4 million in wages. It also created 1,000 jobs. These events–Dead & Company, Outside Lands, and a Zach Bryan concert–not only brought amazing entertainment to our city but a lasting impact for our communities. Over three weekends, they brought visitors into our small businesses, patrons into restaurants, and life into our parks and neighborhoods. The arts are driving our city’s comeback, and we’re looking forward to hosting more world-class events like these this summer.

Fronta Poblachtach activists today hung a banner exposing the International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) scam from a building at the foot of Talbot Memorial Bridge in Dublin 2. IPAS benefits large gombeen businesses- with millions being paid to accommodation-owners and other resource-suppliers by their friends in the Leinster House government. Individuals and companies such as those pictured on our banner make millions from this scam. IPAS, like mass immigration generally, has a bigger purpose: it is designed to bring mass numbers of migrants into Ireland who are to be exploited by unscrupulous bosses, paying them a pittance and undermining the Irish worker. Similarly landlords have increased prey, with more numbers and reduced housing-supply driving up rent and house prices. Today, we announced our 2024-2026 Immigration Levels Plan: We are maintaining targets of 485,000 permanent residents for 2024 and completing the final step to reach 500,000 in 2025. For 2026, we will stabilize permanent resident levels at 500,000 allowing time for successful integration while continuing to augment Canada’s labour market. The government also plans to take action over the next year to recalibrate the number of temporary resident admissions to ensure this aspect of our immigration system also remains sustainable. Highlights from the 2024-2026 Levels Plan include: · A continued long-term focus on economic growth, with over 60% of permanent resident admissions dedicated to the economic class by 2025. · A commitment to uphold the Government of Canada’s humanitarian support effort by responding to humanitarian and geopolitical crises around the world. · New ambitious Francophone immigration targets to support Francophone communities outside of Quebec: 6% total immigration in 2024, 7% in 2025, and 8% in 2026. This is to strengthen Francophone communities outside of Quebec and ensure the economic prosperity of Francophone minority communities across Canada. We will continue to work closely with the provinces and territories, employers, stakeholders and Indigenous peoples to help Canada adapt to the reality of immigration-driven population growth. This approach is also guided by ‘An Immigration System for Canada’s Future’ – a report that lays out a pathway to strengthen our immigration system for newcomers, businesses and communities: Together, these measures will continue to put people at the heart of our immigration policy and ensure newcomers have the resources they need, including settlement support and access to housing, to succeed in their new lives.
