hi all, excited to join! i'm building an expressive mini "shoggoth" robot which will eventually be hooked up to gpt4o realtime voice. i'm currently working on the low-level policies, which are trained in a mujoco simulation with RL. to delay working on raw-pixels for now, i trained a pose-estimation model using deeplabcut and triangulate the position in 3d space using the stereo cameras. eventually, i'll use gpt4o's tool calling capabilities to activate several of these policies (closed and open loop) based on the dialog flow! captions: manual actuation of the tentacle / 3d pose estimation / target design

I was reading up on The Menu recently and found an interview with cinematographer Peter Deming where he revealed the very first shot of the film is stock footage. Didn't notice when I saw the film but it's pretty clear once you know. Stock footage is indoors among other things.

Not everything should be justified in the name of fashion or freedom. l When such trends become normalized, people gradually stop questioning whether they are appropriate for public spaces. Freedom has its place, but so do modesty, cultural values, and social boundaries.

another mini update with examples of octra state inference speed - it has grown even more with the latest updates the circle version is performing well and is already acquiring some kind of interface, the future plans are clear - expanding capabilities, adding ml-tools and deploying more complex mechanisms (this is an early version, but significant progress has already been made) the devnet version is written entirely in Applied circles will allow the creation of multiple, fully private and verifiable models, they can be assigned tasks, combined into rooms and given different access rights, the so called agents will come to life in the state and will be able to work directly with the network (this is useful for debugging and deep tuning) this direction definitely has potential and we will continue to work on it

Only one Adobe Firefly video prompt from our research hit production-ready on the first generation. Prompt in comments 👀 It looks you have to direct the camera as much as the model to get the most out of Firefly. Every other video session in our research needed a revision. Revising the first frame is where Firefly broke: >motion failures (temporal flicker, motion continuity, physics in motion) carried 60% of video's issue mix once designers re-prompted. TLDR: in Adobe Firefly, the camera does a lot of the work. Bake it into the first prompt and the video lands. Its by far the best time to be a creative.
