But D.C. bureaucrats are still dragging their feet. The Protect LNG Act (Section 3) exposes how litigation and red tape choke progress, while the Unlocking Our Domestic LNG Potential Act would finally cut through the delays. Exciting news Alaska! FIRST OIL AT PIKKA! Secretary Doug Burgum and I visited Pikka just days before the announcement. I had the honor of approving the exploration well when I was DNR commissioner and now Alaskans and our country will benefit: thousands of good paying jobs, community investments, billions of dollars over its lifetime for our state and our communities, and energy security for our nation. Congrats to Santos and the men and women who put in thousands of hours to get this done! It’s a great day for Alaska!
