A healthcare professional decided this young woman needed testosterone. Instead of psychological support to help her understand her feelings and become more comfortable in her own body. Her mother started off being the adult in the relationship and resisted affirming a gender identity. But eventually, she was worn down. Lawyer Martin Kpebu has called on Attorney General Dr. Ayine to discontinue the case against Cecilia Dapaah and instead prosecute her. He argued that investigations by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) indicate that Dapaah cannot account for the source of her wealth. According to him, given her previous role as a minister, it is reasonable to suspect that the money in her possession may be public funds.
