Hello. This is not about ideology —it’s about simple, common sense. A healthy market economy is key to tackling poverty and inequality. Taxing the richest is about helping people in need. An annual wealth tax of up to 5% on the world’s millionaires and billionaires could raise $1.7 trillion a year.Imagine if we could use that money to invest in hospitals and schools and stop people falling into poverty.

Hello. We are in favor of a fair economy. This is not about ideology —it’s about simple, common sense. A healthy market economy is key to tackling poverty and inequality, but we don’t have that. We have an extreme form of capitalism, and extreme corporate concentration, that only works for those at the top. That is why Oxfam is calling for governments to build economies that work for everyone and not just a privileged few.
