The Carbon Tax Rebate is a total scam. It's really just wealth re-distribution. The Global North has outsourced its manufacturing and thus its pollution to the Global South "Sacrifice Zones". So taxing citizens of low carbon footprint countries does nothing about China polluting more than every other country combined.

The amount I got won't even cover one weeks worth of groceries, I know I have paid more carbon tax than that in three months, The carbon tax on just my home heating almost adds up to what I got.
