While driverless buses are still not common in China, they are slowly being integrated in many cities. I suspect that by 2030, they will be as common as human driven buses in all major Chinese cities.

The coastline cities are going to be hit first when the crustal displacement occurs, but I assume they will be lifeless long before the tipping point occurs. People will start noticing the changes in the climate more drastically. The monsoons will change, places where there was no harsh weather will start exhibiting more severe weather patterns, the supply chains will collapse, etc. The elites would want to keep you in the big cities and in total blindness to the event for as long as they can while they finish their remote doomsday bunkers.
