Floods in India and Nepal have claimed dozens of lives Heavy rains and storms have triggered widespread flooding and landslides. 56 people have died in India, while 14 have been killed in Nepal and another 11 are missing. The situation is especially severe in Uttar Pradesh, where swollen rivers have killed at least 15 people and damaged 117 homes. On prevailing flood situation and rescue operations, Nepal Police Spokesperson, DIG Abhi Narayan Kapale says, "Due to the flood in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers, affecting the areas of Rasuwa through Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan, Tanahun, and East Nawalparasi, Nepal Police has prioritised immediate rescue and search operations and mobilised personnel accordingly.
