While I do moonlight as a legislator, I am also a diesel mechanic. I have been turning down non-english speaking drivers for years. I am glad other people are starting to get tired of it also. If you can't speak english, you shouldn't be operating an 80,000 lb tractor-trailer.

“I am English, I’m fully English but I don’t identify as English” says the Pakistani immigrant. English people are WHITE. Imagine if I moved to Pakistan & started saying “I am fully Pakistani because I have a Pakistani passport”. Absolutely ridiculous.

My English definitely has a Nigerian intonation, but what did you expect? For the past 18 years I have been speaking English at home with someone that was born and brought up in Nigeria. It’s not about pretending to be someone I am not, it’s just allowing myself to be who I have become.

American is running errands using Lyft. She has multiple stops to make and put the stops in the app The Lyft driver doesn’t speak English so he just left her because she was unable to communicate he needed to wait “I am so sick of these people coming over here not speaking English, like not a lick of English. My Lyft driver just left me at my second stop — came outside, he was gone. If you don't speak English, I feel like you should not be qualified to do anything pertaining to customer service like Lyft, Uber. I'm tired of it.
