While I was reporting for Article 14 on Facial Recognition Technology used by Delhi police, I found myself on their monitor. Delhi police was caught on camera surveilling a journalist on duty. When I confronted them, this is what they had to say.

I parked my bike at Hanuman Temple and was walking towards Jantar Mantar. There was a huge crowd everywhere. I was walking towards my office at Jantar Mantar. As I turned from Tolstoy Marg towards the Parliament Street junction, there were around 4,000 to 5,000 people gathered there. They were raising anti-police slogans and slogans against the government. I thought they were students, and I had nothing to do with them. I was simply on my way to perform my duty. In the meantime, around 100 to 150 people attacked me.
